When I text the *6737# I get the back order status, when I check the status online it says Preparing for shipment. I believe that logic is flawed just a bit.

More than 90% chance of FedEx Overnight from Fort Worth. There are always exceptions due to contracts and delivery areas so it is never 100%.

I can’t find any replies for this thread anymore. What happened? So curious about the 11/2-11/10 status updates.

Any device that is not currently in the warehouse is considered back-ordered. So until Thursday your iPhone X is in back-order status when the bulk shipment arrives from China to the warehouse.

So if it is in Preparing to Ship, that means your actions are all complete and AT&T has completed all processing steps and your order can no longer be modified or cancelled before it ships from the warehouse.

Did you work for ATT? I don't know for sure but I would think the phones are already in their warehouse, if not definitely before Thursday. Just my gut feeling mind you. I know the back order status is strange but I just think it means unfulfilled or something like that. ATT has too many ways to check your order status which are inconsistent, that's for sure.

So if we have a November 3rd delivery date, but the status is still showing In Progress, we shouldn't worry?

Thanks for the info! Does this mean that when we get a tracking number later this week, we can't ask FedEx (or whomever) to hold the package at a pickup location? Would be easier to do that than hope to beat them to my place on delivery day (will be at work).

Could back ordered also be the label given to your order if the phones are already in AT&T staging warehouses but not labeled for individual delivery yet in relation to each preorder?

I ordered a 256 silver on 10/27 at 8:30am CST and order status is "In progress". It used to be "preparing for shipment". We'll have to wait and see....

Hey guys I apologize if this question has already been addressed in this thread, but does anyone’s order status have this additional NOT_AVAILABLE item listed? Should I be concerned?

Also has anyone with an 11/2-11/10 ship date seen movement?

i have that too. I believe it’s the sim that’s already pre-installed but listed as another item since u can order SIM cards individually. I don’t think it’s anything to be too concerned about

I guess it's all speculation. I've pre-ordered about 5 or 6 iPhones from ATT over the years and they always follow this flow. If it says "Preparing to Ship" on the web status either now or by tomorrow you should be good. I just don't remember exactly if the shipping labels got printed on Wed or Thurs.. I remember getting the FedEx Alert from my FedEx account but forgot which day.

im a little worried because Fedex is notorious for delivering packages to the wrong address here in my work area... i should have shipped the phone home lol

None for me. I’ve ordered a Silver 256GB X at 7:54AM Fri. I’ve been “In Progress” with no updates beyond the first email and text Fri afternoon. I also ordered a Black 256GB X about 10 minutes later. That has a Dec 1 -12 expected delivery window. Also no updates or changes. I told myself I wasn’t going to get antsy but here I am hoping for some news.
