Carrier AT&T Pre-Order and Dispatch Thread

Anyone else get the otterbox Defender Case?! Mine arrived last week feels really good in the hand. No screen protector but never liked it anyway. Got a tempered Glass one already delivered.

Are you sure they don't send them via UPS either? I received this tracking info, but am not sure if it's for the phone or not. I'm not expecting any other packages.

If you're signed in to UPS MyChoice, you should be able to see who sent the package and where it originated. If it's coming from Fort Worth, there's a chance it's your phone.

The "from" lists it as "Expeditors International, Memphis, TN". I'm not sure what that is.. oh well, guess I'll find out in a few days.

Going off on a tangent here, but do AT&T stores sell the X leather cases?
 
Can I just return my 7 Plus to an AT&T retail store? Do I need to just return the phone or do I have to return the charger, earphones, box, etc?

AT&T has never let me return the phone back to the store.. BTW you only need to return the phone no accessories or box.

It would make sense. I hope you can report back that it ended up being your phone. Will shake up the "AT&T ships Fedex overnight only!" crew. A poster has said they ship from Fort Worth warehouse as well as one in TN. Another poster has said they do Fedex overnight and two day UPS if I remember correctly.

From my experience with ATT pre-orders, and that return address and shipping method, it probably is not it. But nothing stays constant in this world.

I think we all recognize that in the big picture, none of this matters. It’s just another phone. But, for me it has become a tradition I look forward to. It all started when my kids challenged me to be first in line in 2010. Five years later - first in line every year. I wanted to teach them that they can do something if they put their mind to it. They taught me that they can get me to do anything for them. One year I had to hire someone on Craigslist to stand for me until I could get there. Now I just preorder and am amused by the forum, until (if?) it arrives. I hope everybody gets their phone Friday. I can’t wait. But by Monday, it will be just another phone we carry.

EDIT: I included some footage of me up at three am ordering in this week’s vlog. I think I will do a vlog post next week about the “craziness” that is - iPhone releases. Stay tuned . . . Here is my channel if you want to check it out:

I like this post. And to be honest I'm much more of a chill preorder-er myself. I would have been able to take a complete back seat to this whole crazy week of waiting if AT&T hadn't initially screwed me over.

I do the first in line as well for several years--Kinda fun to hang around with all the other Iphone freaks lol.....So how early did you go to be first in line??

Yeah.. my interest literally wears off even by Friday night after a few hours use. We just love the sense of getting it first.. it's akin to many 7-year-old feelings.. lol
