anyone else order online that is doing the b1g1 ($700 off) deal? Any tips to make sure everything goes right?

Update mines says preparing, also the cancel button is grayed out. This looks promising!

Mine is the same. Still says get it by the 21st.

The new Apple Watch still says in progress. I can live with that being a couple days later. Want to get the phone set up first.

Went into my local Best Buy last night and spoke with them. Girl had been there for 5 years and said they havent seen any horror stories like i was explaining. Said I can do in store pickup for tomorrow, order in store, and they will be calling me today to schedule a pickup time.

I figure I will go with this and if no call today, cancel and go to a carrier store in the morning.

Do they really call people to schedule in-store pickup times? That sounds like it would take a while if you get a bunch of pre-orders or are at a popular BB location.

Thought the same and asked her this. Really I also wanted to know that even if I pre-ordered I dont need to be here at 10am to make sure I pick up. She assured me not.

She said they do it so they gameplan coverage to be able to assist people picking up. Have said models ready with each persons information to get you setup. Said they will set up with you in store. I dont need that but they are planning for average people who want help.

Yes they do. I was working part-time at Best Buy last year in their mobile department. I got to call the 15 or so people who were able to pre-order for store pickup on launch day.

What watch are you getting? Having trouble deciding if I should sell my series 3 Hermès or not
Series 4 44mm aluminum $429/ 12 month special financing. Gps only. Lte version is a ripoff because only benefit is you receive calls when far from your phone. I didnt want to pay a fortune for stainless because I dont plan on having it more than 2 years before upgrading, and the resale value is horrible on these devices. Buying through carrier is 26.50 for 30 months plus a $10 access fee per month. That totals $1095.00

It is now showing Ready for Pickup! For tomorrow. Also says mobile plan activated. Looking like very good news!!!!

My new mobile plans are activated and the return device labels have been sent via email. The phones themselves are still on "preparing"

I just got a message stating that "There is an issue with the mobile package."

Has anyone received this in the past from Best Buy? I have yet to call and figure everything out, but I'm hoping it has to do with a service plan, and not the actual device.
