Carrier Best Buy 2018 New iPhone Pre-Order Thread

I had missed out on Apple's Preorders for release day delivery so I ended up placing a Best Buy order this morning and within a few hours it went to "Read for Pickup" for the 21st. They said I should get an additional email stating that it is indeed ready for pickup sometime tonight or early tomorrow morning. I am more excited than I should be since I have an X and I find this upgrade only minimal but I really want the larger Xs Max. I miss the bigger screen.
That is why I got the 8 Plus last year. The biggest upgrade for me is the 512 GB so I can put all my lossless music on the phone.
Just got all my shipping notifications from BB and from UPS @ 4:01 ET. Been waiting all day for these lol. Scheduled delivery for tomorrow (21st).

I hope I get a good screen, I hate playing screen lottery with iPhones. I’ve had such horrible luck in the past. Went through 2 X’s with serious red/pink hue around the screen, so I just returned it and went with the 8, I was so frustrated.
Is there an easy way to match the reference numbers on your shipment to your order like there is with Apple? For the Apple.com orders there's probably 8 reference numbers, but one is the account phone number and another is the order number less the last two digits. Just itching to get a tracking number as soon as possible, even though we're within 24 hours for most anyway.

Not correct: The No SIM unlocked ones are already out at the Apple Stores tomorrow & ALL of Best Buys phones are "universal" (unlocked) phones. They just want to "activate you" in the store so they get paid for an upgrade. We shall see tomorrow if they have enough stock.

Mine is 1lb. Try using your order number to track UPS by reference number. I noticed my tracking number has the Best Buy order number in there as a reference number.
Sooooo I'm pretty upset, my in-store pick up for the Max was supposed to be in for Friday however it looks like all the best buys in my area only got the XS in so it might not be in until Monday.
Ok, I ordered a watch too and my package for the watch(getting delivered tomorrow too), is 1.40lbs. Watch ways shipped and tracking for it is 1.4lbs but phone says still preparing. Think they grouped them together? Is that possible? I got the max also and series 4 watch, both for 21st delivery.
Best buy online doesn't update an fast as their phone system. Call this number +18882378289 and it will tell you what the status is. Mine shows preordered still online but it's in preparing status now by phone. Last time my note 9 was shipped when online didn't show it.
Mine shipped as well! I messed up and ordered the regular XS instead of the Max from ATT and didn't realize it until the ATT order was preparing to ship. So then on Tuesday, I ordered the Max from Best Buy and am still getting it on launch day. Very happy. The only problem is I had to activate a new line on my account to get the Best Buy phone. Am I correct that I can just put my current SIM card into the Best Buy phone and use my current number instead of activating the new one? I'll just return the ATT phone to ATT.
They wont look up order on that phone number. Gotta transfer to specialty dept and 74 minute wait.
The automated phone system does look up order numbers by your phone #. That is how I did it and many others.
