Best Buy pre orders

In store Pickup or ship?

I'm sleeping for a few hours and then I'll go browse the situation. I already took the morning off work so I feel like I have to make this happen at this point.
 
So my Best Buy emailed me this morning today and my pre order is ready to be picked up. My account order status confirms. The instructions just tell me what to bring to pick up my order but nothing about getting a phone call for appointment. My Best Buy had automated phone that said they open at 8am.

Can I just show up at 8 or 9am with my pre order confirmation without waiting to get a phone call some ppl are talking about?

You should get a phone call first
 
I guess I will just call them tomorrow morning around 8am and make sure I can just come in. The email I got saying it's ready to be picked up tomorrow so why wouldn't they add a comment about waiting for a phone call. How would most people know about that without reading forums?

I'm debating if I should cancel my 6s+ order through BB with being the first person here...but don't want att to not have the one I want hahaha

I'm debating too best buy by far is the worst retailer to order from. The fact that they didn't have enough demand they should've said something instead of false promises and switching promos that's just bad business to lie if you don't know the answer smh

They should of told you when you preorded. The email is automatically generated.

Thanks for the info. I guess I just assumed that once I got the email saying I can pick it up tomorrow that was all the confirmation I needed. Also my credit card was charged today the cost of the phone about 10 minutes after I got the pre order ready email.

I'm not in a rush to get it in the morning anyway as long as I can avoid lines I'm good.

Trust me if its anything like my store be prepared to wait even if you have appts. It's something we need to work on for sure.

Target is far worse. We at least get units in a few times a week. Target gets them whenever

The one bit of even remotely hopeful news was that they affirmed that 'pre-orders' get in-store stock allocation BEFORE walk-in customers. I decided to 'jump ship' from ATT to BB pretty late in the game - but their online order system said AVAILABLE FOR IN STORE PICKUP 9/25. And other phones like Rose Gold did NOT have that wording on BB site... So I thought it was a sure bet.. But I'm discovering it was all just a rouse to get business... they are NOT guaranteeing ANY 6S+ for in store pickup tomorrow.. They are only guaranteeing that when one BECOMES AVAILABLE it will be at the store... What a frickin' crock! False advertising..

I'll still report there in the am and see what they have.. But I'm not holding out hope for my phone being there.. And of course I'd want ANY of you that ordered on Opening night to get your phone before me. That's only fair.

We're not lying! At my Best Buy store we didn't know how many we had in stock until after we closed. Why people always judging without knowing how everything actually works? Lol
 
Apple Store was a total bust. They came down the line 20 minutes after the store open and said there are no more 6S pluses. So still have to hope that my Best Buy order comes through sometime in the next few days

No worries for me. I know my local BBM store got my preorder in yesterday. They told me they would not open till 10am and since I am standing in front of it right now, that did not change. I am the only poor sap here an hour early.

Actually I see an Asian couple lurking around now. Better wait here, they are apt to buy every iPhone. :)

I was told by the GM at the Best Buy I ordered from that they have a 7 day guarantee for Pre-Orders, so at the latest you will have it next Friday, but because you are on a pre-order, you will get the shipment that comes in before any walk ups can get it, so it might be quicker.

Neither did my 6S+. The best buy near me said they got 1 6S+ and it was for sprint.
The ATT store I visited either didn't get any 6S+ or they had a minimal amount for pre-orders.

I hope others had better luck.

My local BB last year got no Plus variants on release day and that is a bigger launch than the S series.
 
At Best Buy now. They have lots. Plenty to fill all pre orders and then some
