Was the phone she was buying the same model you preordered?

Yes. It was exactly my pre-ordered iPhone. The manager blamed it on a warehouse error... (the fact that the iPhone they received "didn't have your name on it" but also admitted he was aware that I not only pre-ordered that exact iPhone, but that I am the ONLY person who pre-ordered that exact iPhone!


How would I go about contacting the GM or DM?

That's not a warehouse error! It was a store screw up! Go to BB.com and go to the store locator and find you store. On the bottom you will find your stores GM and DM emails. Email both of them. As a mobile employee this down right enrages me that they would do that and make an excuse. Not saying this will happen but maybe the DM can find that same model at the other store and get it to you today. I've seen it done before.

I never got a phone call. I just got the ready to pick up email yesterday. So I just woke up, got some breakfast and strolled over the Best Buy store around 10am and nobody was there lol. I was in an out in about 20 minutes, the guy activated it for me.

I know some people have had problems with Best Buy but I pre ordered the 6s on day one then never had to wait in any lines. Success.
 
I was told by BB that once they scan a phone a ticket prints out with a the preorders name. Is that not true?
 
Picked up my pre-order a couple hours ago. No lines and was attended to quickly. When told the rep I did a pre-order, she asked for my name and went back to the storage locker and pulled out my phone which had my name on it. Other than doing a quick return/re-purchase to apply some gift certificates I had, I was in and out fairly quickly.

Wow, I got lucky. Placed the order on Monday Sept 21 for a Verizon Space Grey iPhone 6s Plus 64gb. Got an email today that it is ready for pickup. I just called and they confirmed it is in stock and I made an appointment this afternoon to pick it up. I really thought I would be waiting a few weeks considering how late I ordered.
 
I walked in to get my sisters and asked if they had any 6S Plus, they didn't have any of course. Then he asked if I was Ethan because I literally just got an email and my phone went off. The email said my iPhone 6S Plus 128GB Gold was ready to pickup. He literally scanned my phone in when I walked into the store. Haha

I'm happy.
 
I guess I'm very lucky I stopped by att near my place and no line and walked in and I'm the first customer today and able to pick up my plus. And cancelled stupid bestbuy preorder. It was like 9am. They told me they had only one plus for each color
 
cancelled my pre order from best buy for a 64 6s rose gold Verizon (they had no idea when they would be getting more Rose Golds...best buy had 128gb 6s gold got that instead!
 
I decided at the last minute to order the 6s plus. I sold my 6plus and preordered on 9/22, did not expect to get one anytime soon since I was late. My BB did not have many preorders and you could not preorder the rose gold Att till 9/21. I called BB this morning and was told first come first served. Went there my phone is not in. At 1:48 pm I get an email saying we did not forget you your date has been changed it will be in today. At 2:00 pm I get one saying pick it up on 9/24. They are playing with my emotions.
 
Picked up a 64gig 6S as a walk-in at Best Buy.
2 people came in who pre-ordered the plus and were told they did not receive any.
The guy thankfully said there were only 8 pre-orders total at the store...for either phone.
I find that hard to believe...but everyone there was a walk-up like me.
I struck out at 2 local Sprint stores...said they only had enough for pre-orders.

Upgraded from an old 4S, some cool new features! ha
