Just got my 6s, in and out in 10 minutes.
No line, no one else there. Did not bother waiting for email notification which did not generate till I was at the store this morning.
I was getting ready to head out to BB but I just got a text telling me it's ready for pick up ha. Stores don't open here till 30 more minutes. Sooo excited!
Do you have any written proof of this policy of theirs? Not trying to be a jerk or anything but on these forums I'm just asking people to show me written proof of the things that they say so I don't get my hopes up and it's all a bust. That would be wonderful if I could for sure have it by next Friday. Because I have a 6S coming from AT&T today and you only have 14 days to return it. I will only keep one; either the 6S or the 6S plus whichever I like better.I was told by the GM at the Best Buy I ordered from that they have a 7 day guarantee for Pre-Orders, so at the latest you will have it next Friday, but because you are on a pre-order, you will get the shipment that comes in before any walk ups can get it, so it might be quicker.

They have plenty of 6s'.. It's the pluses that are the problem. You'll get your 6.

Was the phone she was buying the same model you preordered?NOT true at my Best Buy! I pre-ordered, called Best Buy last night and manager said I could get my pre-ordered iPhone if I showed up when they opened, even if I hadn't received my pickup email yet.
Went there, walked in right when they opened, with another gal right ahead of me. Went to Mobile phone dept. Showed my receipt and asked for my iPhone 6s Plus and the manager said, "I'm sorry, we only recived one and she's buying it right now." I asked if she pre-ordered?" He said, "No." I asked how they could sell a walk-in a pre-ordered iPhone?" He answered, "It didn't have your name on it." I asked if anyone else had pre-ordered that specific iPhone?" He said, "No, you're the only one, sorry about that."
I am beside myself! I'll get over it but what a crappy way of doing business!!

Yes they are 2 different list,but we fulfilled orders in the order they came in.Stopped by my local store at 8am. No line, I was the only person there. I pre-ordered online on Sep 12. I never received an email and my order status online has not changed from pre-order. I usually pre-order in store annually. I told them I pre-ordered online and he asked my name. He looked on his sheet and said it is not in yet. I then asked, how far down the list am I? My name and order was not even on the list. ONLY those who ordered in store are on the list.
To all the Best Buy employees/management, at what point will the local store get the list of online pre-orders? How are the online orders being filled vs in store pre-orders? Are they being pulled from different shipments (i.e. direct drop ship vs fulfillment center)? The online order seems like a total disaster when the manager of the mobile department has no record of any online orders.

TBH I have no idea,my manager combined both online and in store preorders on 1 list in the order they received so maybe they did that?Thanks for the reply. If everyone who ordered online before the store even opened to take pre-orders should receive their phone first, why did the manager have no list any online pre-orders? At what point will they receive the list? I saw the list of in store pre-orders as well as the phones that had come in and had been tagged for those who ordered in store.
That's the only thing I think that could of happened. If it was no and it was the same model he preorderd and they sold it I highly reccomend contact the GM and even the DM. That would down right be unacceptable.It didn't have your name on it, what the heck kind of response is that when you showed them proof you preordered? Do not understand how the other person got one unless your specific variant was not that one they sold her.
