1) Can the skin be removed and reinstalled
2) Has anyone tried installing the front protector without any water? Will it stick?
No and No.
(1) It'll stretch as you take it off and never again be the same shape
(2) Adhesive is water activated. No water => no activation.
With that said, my opinion is this material is fine for backs and sides but is awful for a screen. Much better to go with a static-cling type of shield such as the ones frm SGP, Boxwave, or a million inexpensive ebay ones if you're not as persnickety about fingerprints as some. Look for dry application.
I reinstalled the front (see my pics in this thread for how awful my front came out the first time) and it worked out fine. Didn't stretch and the iPad looks fine now. You can take it off and reinstall.

I stuck the home button sticker on without any water as a test and it stuck very well. I imagine the skin would probably do the same.
The home button is alot smaller than the actual skin.
Yes so the skin will have more surface area and adhere better.
has anyone else who has used BSE for a long time (4 years now for me), noticed that the material they are using is becoming more clear? I think this newest batch that I got for my iPad 2 is veryyyy clear on the screen compared to older BSE's I've used. It's much less grainy
And the blemishes will be easily visible.
They're not lying to you when they say it's a wet install. There's a reason for it.
