Coppin' the matte black. Gonna have a case on it anyways so the back may not even matter. Plus i'm only going 32GB coming from a 16GB 5s.
Annnnd that video has me leaning back towards standard black.
I'd feel inclined to go caseless with a Jet Black because it looks so good, but I would live in constant paranoia that it'll get scratched and always be wiping it free of fingerprints.

I'm torn between Jet Black and Matte black. I'd get JB in a heart beat but a single scratch would drive me mad. I don't over protect my phone but I love to keep it pristine. A scratched back JB would be a nightmare for me. It's cool to have the newest color but I'm leaning toward the matte black now. It also looks good just not as a refresh like JB. I'm gonna pre order both and come to store to see the JB in person. I'll see if it's nice enough for me to choose it.

I'm actually trying to think through wether the jet black is "too much". I'm a low-key kinda guy, but I just love the phones with a nice mirror finish.
I won't bore you. Suffice it to say, it's one of the five colors.

Also, even though 128GB is WAY more than I need, at $4 more a month, 256GB might not be so bad...

I really, really like Jet Black, but I'm way too OCD about fingerprints and scratches. Let me see what Spigen has in the way of transparent cases.
I'm starting to get the feeling that Apple scared people off of the Jet Black on purpose....and that people are overreacting a bit. Just look at someone's Samsung Galaxy S7 (or Edge). Looks like the same exact surface. They will only scratch if you don't treat them well.

Fair enough, i think the Jet Black looks really nice, it's very glossy by the look of it but i think it makes it look a little different. I still don't know why Apple decided to only let people order the jet black with 128GB and 256GB options, rather than the 32GB as well. Maybe they think it will be popular and sell out fast.
The way I figure it, i always have glasses clothes with me, i can always clean the fingerprints off. I am still however debating between both of them. I might order one, see the other in person and then make my final decision.

It seemed more than just splash proof, I've seen it fully submerged for like, a half hour or something and it still worked.
I am another in the Matte Black Camp....If history is any indication, I suspect there will be a thread opened on launch day as people receive their phones with marks out of the box. QC over the past few years has been well lets say subpar. Thinking back to last year with all the phones with screen issues (pressure points, light bleeding etc) if these made it out of the factory as up to standard then there is a good chance cosmetic blemishes will do the same. Going with the finish less prone to scratches will eliminate one of the many possible other issues that you could possibly get with mass produced items, especially as they ramp up the assembly lines and QC slips even more. I will not put myself through multiple exchanges again this year for something I could have avoided from the get go. I also think the Black looks better anyway. The more pictures I see the less I want the Jet Black which is good as it will avoid me dealing with worrying about fine scratches on the gloss which will happen even wiping the back off.
