Black is the color for little boys who dont know how to take care of their phones

Jet black is for real men, who know how to meticulously keep their phones in their original condition

You seriously think he did that because he wanted clicks? You must not know who Matthew Panzarino is, but he is actually a very well respected journalist. And his reviews are for every day people, people who don't think twice about which pocket they put their phone into.

Yes, well respected that he doesn't listen to the guidelines about what Apple said about the jet black. The jet black is the colour that needs extra care. Your respected journalist is no better than the idiots who post drop test videos on youtube.

Hi.

Does the antenna lines show up very little in the matte black finish as compared to the jet black finish (where it doesn't appear to show up at all)?

I've ordered matte black via EE but also bought the jet black and for now I'm going to keep both

Will try and post pics and review them when I finally get both

Both look stunning, here is a new video of the iPhone 7 in matte black.
Looks high-class, very impressed.

they purposely did that to show fingerprints. matte black shows the same. easier to clean on glossy though.

Matte hides them more and they don't show up as easily. Jet is will 10x worse than matte.

Keep trying to tell yourself that. Kids always want the hottest thing that has a mirror finish. Like chrome wheels, and other shiny parts. Most adult men are older and already experienced that and have learned that it's smarter to not go with the shiny as they have actually experienced phones like this and were fingerprint magnets.

Matte black is the way to go. Most of the time cleaning anything shiny on clothes will just smear it more.

All of this disagreement over a colour  just get the one you want, if you want Jet black, get Jet black, if you want the normal black get that one! People by now are well aware of the fact that the jet black will scratch and collect finger prints. Some people will be bothered by this more than others!

I know right? So much need for validation here it's funny! Stop caring what everyone else thinks so much and get what you want.

Exactly, as long as you are happy with the choice it's all good. Personally I've gone for the jet black, I love the look of it, I know it's prone to scratches and fingerprints, but that's obviously the trade off for choosing that specific model.

+1

"Most adult men" don't care what the hell other adult men are doing with their phones.

A year from now there will be lots of unhappy JB owners that try to sell there iphones. They will be all scratched up, look like they were beaten. Who is going to buy that.

I got the Jet Black because the hero images looked so great. But the reviews seem to suggest it's a pain. IDK if I should try to sell it or if I should just use a case with it. I was kinda tempted to go case-less this year, but I've said that a few times now and I always use a case. BUT the big factor this year is that AppleCare+ has a new $29 deductible if you crack the glass, which lowers the risk as many cases cost that much.

Plenty of people will buy it but for slightly less due to the condition. Put it this way, the JB owners may get $50 or $100 less next year at resale time if it's scratched quite a bit. But, they got to spend a year with a phone they loved. Isn't this worth the $50 or $100 or even more? To me it would be worth it if I wanted that color.

Ordered jet, reserved matt, gonna check them both out in the Apple Store tomorrow and decide on the spot. Easy.

What's it got to do with you with the condition of their phone? Most look after them with a wrap. I did that with my iphone 5 and it didn't have any of it's edges rubbed off.
