Yeah, I'm familiar with carrier bundles, I just have no idea why any carrier would make you always have 3G enabled. Will have to wait for the iOS 8 jailbreak to correct this, I imagine.

Three UK have never had a 3G toggle as they don't have a 2G network anymore, so it's pointless.

my iphone 5 was not smooth as well. Back to iOS7 for me! but seriously I did have it for about a day and was originally going to keep it, but it seemed like it got slower as time went on. Then FaceBook pushed an update and that app was completely ruined no fluidity at all. When I went back to iOS7 the app was smooth even with the update.

Also if anyone has a long list of voicemails try scrolling through them quickly then tap one suddenly and see if you get a rendering bug I do. I wish I had screen shot it but if anyone wants to try and replicate it... Im using a Verizon iPhone 5.. Might happen with other models

Side note iPad Mini performance just isnt on iOS8 not good for one thing. If you leave Safari and go to iBooks it has to reload your book and when you go back to Safari it has to load that one tab, its nuts. Overall this GM is looking like another BETA to me. Hopefully the build number will change and they can work out these kinks because so far iOS8 sucks

This is a lot of bugs...I hope there's a day 1 patch like the one for the 5C and 5S last year.

Weather and traffic are not showing up in notification center. Restart doesn't fix the problem.

Edit: it wasn't working all day. I posted this and it started working..

I tried to change my messaging settings to delete after 1 year. My phone just got hot and started to hang in settings. I had to reset, and turn it off. I tried one more time and the same thing happened.

Can this be a wiki thread? It'll make things easier for bug reporting.

Well, I'm unsure if the is a big or an intentional design change.

But, what do we think of the clock on the home page now?
The hands appear to be longer, and somewhat pixelated.

Thoughts?

I'm seeing passwords I've typed in come up as suggestions for predictive text. I'm not sure if it's a bug where iOS is not ignoring password fields, or whether I've typed them in something like a VNC or terminal app (where iOS wouldn't have any idea that it's a password). In the latter case, it would be useful to be able to disable predictive text learning on a per-app basis.

Edit: I'm certain that at least one of the passwords was only ever typed in when setting up a mail account in Settings. So iOS "learned" that for predictive text. That's a pretty big security failure!

Also, Find My Friends doesn't work. The latest app store version tells me to upgrade, and the beta version from the Developer portal crashes immediately. :(

The GM seed most definitely sucks - numerous reproducible crashes all over the Settings app, multiple reproducible UI glitches, various functionality doesn't work as it should, etc.

And yes, this was a restore and setup as new on iPhone 5S.

Yikes! Seems like iOS 8 GM is full of bugs. Maybe Apple will release a 2nd GM. Was there ever a second iOS GM released before the final launch?

Mavericks had a second GM last year.

On my iPhone 4S when I try to send a message I open the App, tap on the message field and nothing happens. I then tap on it a few more times...wait for a bit and eventually it becomes active, adding a few spaces at the start of my message.

But I'm not on Three and Tesco definitely do have a working 2G network.

I've raised the issue with their support team, so we'll see where that leads. There's no reason to remove it, just add a separate toggle for 4G

iOS 4.2 had one. But it was a major bug. They won't release a 2nd GM. They will most likely have 8.0.1 waiting and ready to go shortly after release next week.

What are the reproducible ones? Curious to see them.

Has anyone else noticed that when you set a camera roll photo as your wallpaper it significantly degrades the quality of the image?

It's a far from perfect Gold Master release. Very sluggish and laggy and I'm using a 5s.

Battery

Safari is draining my battery. The iphone gets hot when I use it, even on wifi. IT says 35%! I used just for a couple of minutes

I just tried to upload a screenshot of a bug in the multitasking view but I found that it's impossible to upload any image from my iPhone 4S with this GM.
Great.

Not sure if it's a bug per se, but it's an annoyance.

On my iPhone (uk carrier: Tesco mobile) i don't have the option to enable 3G. It's always on, I'm only given the option to enable Cellular or 4G.

That's carrier settings. Not a bug. Got the same with mine on Three.

Dismissed notification just won't go away.

Wifi seems very dodgy. It's sometimes taking minutes to find wifi points with full signal that an iOS 7 device in my other hand picks up in seconds. Tested with multiple independent connections.

Definitely loss of smoothness too.

And it now has a popup every time you go into a stock app if you have no phone signal. Again, and again, and again.

Anyone having problems with EarPods? My mute/play and volume buttons don't seem to be working after updating, where as they're working fine with my MacBook Pro

So many problems now. I can't wait to see all the fun once this same build hits public release. :p

Mom's 5S rebooted too twice in two days. I am downgrading her to 7.1.2

My 5c and iPad Air are already back on 7.1.2
