If anything, camera filter applications are a good way to avoid buying a the phone with its improved camera. They inherently mask the older camera's shortcomings.

has anyone used the lomo app? i'm wondering if it's any good...

Planning on purchasing camera+ and hipstamatic very soon.

Here's my Camera+ contribution. Note: I had to add the text in Photoshop, but the rest of the image was untouched. I wish there was a text-to-photo adding app in the AppStore... haven't found one yet (but I haven't looked too hard).

That looks very delicious.

Slavko - Very nice pictures, I really like the Pano app photos.. may have to buy it. I've read that you have to stop and take each shot rather than have a continuous shot prompted by lining up the shot. (Like the Android similar app) What are your thoughts on Pano, pretty easy to use?

Tekchic - Very nice color composition in your picture!!

@SpaceKitty - Your Shiba Inu is just precious! Love the sneer :)

@agjake01 & @M-5: Thanks for the compliments on the other night's dinner :)

Eagle

A quick photo of The Eagle using Camera+ and then Hipstamatic.

Thanks

I've really enjoyed all the pictures that people have uploaded to this thread, it's a nice change from the rants and heated discussions found on here most of the time. Keep up the good work and thanks for sharing your pics!

Jake

ps..

I added a poll to the thread to see what your favorite camera apps are! If you like something else that's not listed, leave a post and let us know what you prefer!

Noisy or not, I love that first one.

Thanks both of you...
Thanks for starting this thread agjake...these threads are a nice change from the the norm. Pano is pretty easy to use. You do have to stop and line up each shot, but the beauty is you dont have to be spot on(just close). And Pano does the rest for you. Well worth it in my opinion.

Ugh.. I think I'm going to have to add Pano to my Photography folder on my home page! Having never purchased a paid for app before this week, this camera thing is addicting! :)

Darngooddesign - Nice bee picture with the 3GS, very clear and good color effects! How do you like the Shake It Photo app? What can you do with it?

First of all... its only a dollar.

Its a one trick pony, that trick is to produce the effect you see in the photos I posted. If you don't like that effect then you should avoid the app. You can take photos with it* or apply the effect to photos you already have. I like it a lot and use it and iFlashLight** on my 3GS the most.

* It always crops to square, but you can have it save the original photo.
** The best way to intelligently lighten photos, for the short period of time that I had an iPhone 4 I noticed there were a lot of file saving errors. I have no idea about now as my 3GS is still on 3.

Thanks for the review! Post a few more from this app when you get a chance!

Here are some more, including a comparison of a pic with and without the app. Bear in mind that the lighting isn't ideal as most are indoors and the other was outside in bright sunshine.

Beautiful dog!

One I posted in the other thread, but since this is the Camera+ thread....why not!

Grabbed this one at the beach with the mutt yesterday.

Dog Pictures

I like the dog pics too! Here's a couple of old iPhone pics filtered with the Camera+ Cross Process filter. The first is my pooch, the second stopped me in my tracks in Central Park, NY.

Both are low res as I don't have the originals on my phone anymore..

I'm a big fan of Camera+ lately, however I can't figure out why 3rd party camera apps still seem to be unable to save EXIF (and GPS?) data to the Camera Roll?

I see that Camera+ will save EXIF data on a photo uploaded to Flickr, but not if it's saved to the camera roll. Is this still an Apple limitation? I thought iOS4 was going to totally open up the Camera API. Haven't been able to get a straight answer.

Here's a shot I took and processed solely in Camera+ recently on my 3GS:

Can't wait to pickup an iPhone 4 when it's released here in Canada on Friday and seeing what I can do with it's camera.
