So are you guys going to finally give in and get that Mac Pro now, or are you going to keep holding out till January???

I still want new video cards so I can replace the one I have.

Day's not over yet. They already updated the mac mini today.

Time to snatch one of the last Numeric Keypad Bluetooth Apple Keyboards from the refurb page as soon as they finally get the darned Store back up.

I have one now. As well as a BT MM. I was looking forward to the keyboard update. Until they did this.

And yeah, whats up with the store!? Jeez. And yes, I will continue to wait. Paris Expo here we come!

suneohair , I will go with you on this way too.

The next time is our time , I belive

I just got off the phone with the folks at Apple and they said that the new keyboards are only shipping with the new iMacs. Kinda disappointing to anyone excited about the new design.

How could they not even add a new vid card? I'm definitely waiting until 08 if one year is going to be their new update cycle.

wireless keyboard knocks the shipping time from 3-5 days to 3-5 WEEKS

crazy

That it is, I am sure it will stat shipping faster. I was really hoping for new MacPro's today...I guess it will happen sometime this year....

You can buy them online at the apple store:

Score! "Old" Bluetooth Keyboard With Numeric Keypad $49 At Refurb Store

I have one now. As well as a BT MM. I was looking forward to the keyboard update. Until they did this.

Got it. $49 refurbished. Plus got iLife '08 and the GarageBand Remix Tools Jam Pack. All free shipping today and tomorrow.

I majorly dislike both "new" keyboards. I think they are butt ugly. Only redeeming quality in either is the USB 2 ports on the wired model. I'm sure I would never use one of those. I still use a MacAlly iKey from way back in the day. But getting a new Bella FCP 5202 Pro Keyboard real soon now. I guess I'm old fashioned. I like my keys to have significant travel distance with sculpted indentations on each one. That new Apple keyboard reminds me of the IBM Jr. Chicklet keyboard that sunk that project for good or the original Commodore PET keyboard just as does the MacBook keyboard. Don't like them at all.

I know I could just buy one separately but I was hoping it would be bundled so it would be one less thing to have to purchase.

BT Keyboards Refurbished or Finding One Left In An Apple B&M Store Is All That's Left

If you want an "OLD" Bluetooth keyboard with a numeric keypad, your only option is to find one in an Apple Store or buy a refurbished one from the SAVE page. You always have to pay extra for a Bluetooth keyboard and mouse ephraim.
Lets hope. I am sure Wild-Bill, MM, and Topper (maybe?) are with us too!

In other news, I picked up a iSight for $60 :D
Wow what a score. How'd you get that deal? Yeah I'm with you - sort of. If Frank will ever call me, I'm gonna buy his Miami Quad 2.66 rig with ACD HD to tide me over. FCS2's FCP 6 & Compressor 3 includes the ability to share processors over a local network and across families too so I'm looking at it as an additional render farm node along with my Quad G5 and upcoming Dual Harpertown in SS MP. :D

No. No. No. Sorry.

Let me clarify.

I am fixing to order a new Mac Pro and was hoping that the new WIRED ultrathin keyboard would be shipping as the standard keyboard. I called Apple to ask them and they said that the new keyboards were only shipping with the new iMacs (and sold separately of course). This means that I would have to shell out another $50 on top of the purchase to get the new keyboard. I think I will wait and read some reviews first.

By the way, I already have an old full-sized bluetooth keyboard is someone wants to trade for a new wired ultrathin.

Nope. Apple is not going to get one cent of my money until they offer me value for my money. As has been stated time and time again by so many people, shelling out $2499+ on outdated hardware is not appealing to me at all.

New RAID card?? Give me a break. I can't believe they didn't update the video cards.:mad:

I might have to consider that as well.

From what I understand I will be getting Leopard when its released. Albeit not right away. And the discount is pretty substantial. the ADC mailing are cool too. I learn quite a bit.

I doubt You'll Have Any Difficulty Trading Your Bluetooth For A New Wired

In that case just post your offer in the Marketplace department and you should have no trouble making that deal with one of the new iMac buyers here.

BTW When the Mac Pro is finally revised, I'm sure it will ship with the new Aluminum flat Wired keyboard - just not now.
