For the iPhone 7 that has a battery that gives you up to two hours more battery life over the 6S, and is more manageable in the hands, I'll take that over a larger variation of the 7+ until Apple reduces the bezel. I had Samsung galaxy S7 for a short time and I really enjoyed the size of the 5.1 inch screen, and I also enjoy the larger edge size screen of 5.5 or over the iPhone 6S plus. Hope Apple will realize that reducing the bezel can give us a large screen and a small form factor as well.

When Apple decided to make bigger phones I went for the 6, then the 6S Plus but regretted the size difference.. I jumped on the SE but once nostalgia wore off I realised the 4.7" was best so I ordered the regular 7 this time.

For reference I also have an iPad Pro 9.7.

I noticed that the 7+ has less battery life in a few areas...

Talk time:
7+: 21hrs
6S+: 24hrs

Video Playback:
7+: 12hrs
6S+: 14hrs

Music Playback:
7+: 60hrs
6S+: 80hrs

Hmm.
Thats strange what could be affecting this, surely only a smaller battery would do this?

Really? Apple said it had an additional hour this year.

It certainly is strange, the Internet browsing hours got an increase, so it's very odd.

I know the 6S had that low power mode, I'm not sure if that's built in iOS or not (on 8.3 still) but maybe that's different on the 7 phones.

Very strange. Low power mode is still here in iOS 10 but apple doesn't get battery stats based on that.

iPhone 7+ does get a bit more "internet time", maybe due to Safari optimizations in iOS 10, or something. But overall battery performance takes a big hit compared to 6s+. It's a bit un-Apple.

Yes, and it's interesting to note that the Apple page gives 2 hours more battery life for the 7 over the 6s as opposed to 1 hour more for the 7+ vs. the 6S+ Could it have something to do with the camera zoom??

Hmm. Geekbench is showing the iP7 faster than the iP7+ despite the memory bump.

I know the 6 & 6S were quicker than the Plus but I thought the extra memory would help it pull away.

I'm so conflicted on if I should keep my Plus order or get the 7. It's a 2 year choice.

7:

7 Plus:

Again, RAM doesn't make a difference in scores like these... it could have 8GB and it'd be the same.

Hmm.
That because they presume you're using wireless which would take up more battery life. If you were using wired, it'd probably be more.

Simple: if you want to become a professional photographer, get the Plus. If you want to remain amateurish, get the basic one.
You got to be kidding me. I would never use my iPhone on a must do shoot, not when I have four full frame Nikons, 2 M43, Fuji X-T1 and a Samsung NX-1 to choose from.

I went with the 7. I was undecided at first, but then I thought how important are the extra features
on the plus too me. Better camera, not that important. The 7 has a very good camera too. Definitely
good enough for me. Bigger screen, I'm keeping my 6s plus so that's not an issue. Screen resolution
also not that big of a deal because I would have to have both phones side by side to tell the difference..

Now what would be a deal breaker for me is battery life. I'm going to try the 7. If the battery don't last
long enough, it's going back.

I am still on the fence on which on to get.

I have 6 plus and wife has the 6.

I like the feel in my hand with her 6 but love the screen size of the 6 plus. I get hand cramps once in a while maneuvering my fingers around the 6 plus screen

Question

Can I swap out our SIM cards in the 6 plus and 6 and try her phone for a day or is it not possible?

I really wanted the plus simply for the better camera but I'm always using my phone with one hand. My 6 already feels large in my hand so the plus wouldn't work out for me very well. My 6 also feels large in my pocket and I'm pretty active at work, constantly in and out of my truck. I'm sure the camera will be a big improvement over what I currently have so I'll be happy. Battery life isn't an issue because I'm near my truck all day.
