CarPlay CarPlay adapter to convert to wireless CarPlay?

Is there a way to delete saved iPhones on the dongle setup screen? I thought a new firmware flash would wipe it, but doesn’t.

I’ve heard that you can hold down on the setup screen to delete? However my problem is this screen doesn’t appear on my car.

Could I plug in to someone else’s car and see if it appears, and delete them from there?

It’s just I want to start totally fresh with latest firmware to see if can get working in my car.

My problem is the same.
 
If I start the car (+CarLinkIt) while my iPhone is still connected to my home WiFi, CarPlay never starts. I have to go to settings and disconnect (forget) my home WiFi to make it work every time I get in the car when I'm home (home WiFi covers the space where I park the car). Anybody else has this issue? Any advise?

Can’t you just tap on the carlinkit’s wifi network to switch over to it? Not sure why it would require forgetting your other network.

Yeah but that also contradicts the whole not-taking-the phone-out-of-the-pocket experience that we'd expect from this device...

Great news: MBUX is now supported!!!
I've received a mail from Carl2Play.
CPLAY2air adapter which now supports these brands that we personally tested:
  • Land Rover;
  • Jaguar;
  • Nissan;
  • Honda, including Accord and others;
  • Mercedes-Benz the newest MBUX 2020 system with USB-C (requires additional adapter from USB-A to USB-C);
  • Audi 2020;
  • If you have a USB-C system, it requires an additional adapter from USB-A to USB-C.

I've tested and I confirm it works perfectly on MBUX with the latest FW from

Nope...: only been trying for 14 months ha ha.

I want to find another car, plug in dongle to delete the iPhones on it, then start from scratch again.

I’ve just updated to newest firmware as I can connect using my iPhone to it, so it’s on 2020-11-10.

Latest firmware is 2020-11-10 though now
 
I have also manage to upgrade to the latest 11.10.2137 via OTA thru 192.168.50.2

will see any difference these few days from 10.28.

Current device:
iPhone 12 Mini
IOS:14.2.1
Honda Civic 2019

Could post a link to the adapter you used please? Your wifes car has mbux? and you connected the dongle via usb-c?

Are you sure about this. I think I saw a post early in the thread that said a Mazda 6 from 2012 - 2018 will work. Not sure I understand why not. I have a retrofitted by the dealership, CarPlay system, in my 2016 Mazda CX-9. What's the difference?

So far I can tell that clicking response is slightly faster, changing songs track felt faster compared to previous.

overall still smooth. I think is slightly stable compared to earlier 10.28 version.
 
Hello, I have update my device via OTA and my dongle is death after reboot, I think that Carlink had a problem on your server that have fix now. I have contact the seller for change the device on warranty. I'm waiting......

In addition, for Mercedes: GPS from car is back! 😃

For me still showing 10/28 as newest OTA. They must have pulled 11/10 again. Not having any issues with 10/28.
