I bought my adapter 6 months ago but it never worked on my chevrolet onix plus 2020. The cplay2air settings screen never showed. Yesterday I updated my adapter to last firmware and I had good news. The configuration screen worked and I could conect my Iphone 11 (IOS 14.2) but it just worked for 10 seconds and It stoped to work. I reconected the adapter but I had the same result. I believe (and hope) that new firmwares will solve the problems. Do you have any advice to solve the problem? (I am sorry, my english is too bad)

Hello ... works the U2W update file also for the new Carlink 2.0 wireless kit with usb-c or only for the old kit ?
The Update itself worked well with my 2.0 USB-C-Adapter in the original state. Unfortunately I had the same experience like Renato just mentioned. Only that I had 30 seconds of happiness before shutdown. So with a working car head unit there shouldn't be much trouble.

I tried to flash some september and joyeauto firmwares hoping to get a better result. But no luck. Now the bluetooth part has a hickup. The bluetooth module is intact but the carlinkit script cannot activate it. And I found no clue even using the secure shell yet (kudos to @jsm174).

Maybe I get a step further when our developers (VLud & jsm174) can decrypt the software any further (e.g. AutoBox.img). Where is the donate button on github? 😊

BTW: There is a new joyeauto firmware as well (2020.11.20). It seems to be based on 2020.11.10 which is for CarlinKit and CPlay2Air devices.

I tried again and now I had a different error. The display shows this message: Hardware Error: BT. This error code was included on the message: 00d0b900d0caCMP.
I loked for it on the internet but I didn't have any result. The mobile conected sucessful once but after 10 seconds it disconected.
I saw that the adapter flashed the blue light many times when it was trying connect.

The November OTA update has solved my connection problems for the 2020 Hyundai Sonata. Working as expected for the first time since I got the device months ago

I got my Carlinkit v2 yesterday and I got the same result on a Tracker (Trax) Premier 2021 + iPhone 11 Pro Max, looking forward to see if we can get it to work (hopefully).

Everyone.... not sure whether to post this in case....

I got connected!?! and been in car twice more and it’s connected, timed it one time and takes 2mins waiting for boot up , but hey I’d wait 5mins with the (un)success I’ve had!!!

Flashing blue LED when connected - that’s correct?

How do you tell if it’s using car GPS as I’ve recently read about?

Tried a phone call, music seem ok

The only thing did was, as I could always for a bit while it reset, get connected to the server 192.x.x.x I seen a little reset on that update page and pressed that. Then connected after it saw the Bluetooth and asked to pair. I’m wondering if this little reset deletes the old Bluetooth connections or something?

Tried last night with iPhone in airplane mode. Did it’s thing, took a while and waited on connecting screen. Could then only see one Phone in the list (I now definitely think pressing the little reset deleted the other iPhones). Turned my iPhone out of airplane mode, connected fine! Happy days!

any reason to update from 10/28 to 11/10 if the 10/28 version is working good? 2019 Honda Accord Touring that finally started working with the 10/28
Thanks

That’s all right. And the Carlinkit 2.0 is flashing green when connected.

Congrats! Hopefully I don‘t have to wait a year or change my car to to get things working 😉

However your solution is not the right one to bring my BT back to life. Still hanging on the setup screen, but no BT device to pair within sight.

Eventually there is not enough free space on the filesystem after flashing many firmwares (including older ones). Have read some earlier posts about this topic.

For now I keep calm and looking forward to the december update...

Welp, my unit died after the latest OTA.

I was on 2020.10.28.1252 and updated online as usual to 2020.11.10.2137 and now the unit just stays on red led, nothing more.

Not sure how can I fix it 😞

SOLVED: had to connect to the wifi AUTOBOX-XXX (was broadcasting as this) with pass 12345678 and from there I could access the web interface. I tried to downgrade to august release but the problem persisted (red led, no connection). Just to try, I did OTA upgrade to 2020.11.10.2137 again but the problem was still present (red led, no connection).

I then saw a little reset button in settings menu, pressed that, the unit restarted and magically it connected again to the car!!!

Hello! (thats my first post!)
I've recieved CPC200-U2W-plus today, connected it to my Seat Ateca 2018.
Device worked for 5minutes but with a slight delay so I tried to make a software update. Typed 192.168.50.2 in Safari on my iPhone. Downloaded VER:2020.11.10.2137, installed it (during this process red and green lights were flashing), my browser showed "Upgrade successful" popup and... device stopped working. Light went off and never came back. Now when I plug in the device nothing happens.
However.... sometumes when I plug it into USB Wall power outlet (1 out of 5 tries) it shows solid green light.
Is there anything I can do? Please help 😭

Hi, I had the exact same problem. I've tried all sorts of ways but I couldn't get the device to restart. I re bought a new drive but will stay away from this firmware. Those who updated via usb had no problems. Through OTA instead the device blocks.

I really have the impression the USB update way is more stable

I finally solved my issue, support told me I could downgrade to august from web interface but I was not able to connect to the wifi...

Then I looked at wifi networks and found a AUTOBOX-XXXX, connected to that and the interface was again accessible.

Downgrade to august release did not solve my issue, however, after install november ota again, pressing the restart button again in settings menu did the trick!!!

Hello, can I flash origina fw on USB port with terminal, I have a bricked device from November update OTA, when I connect the Carlink on USB port (type A) I see SP Blank 6ULL, there is some way to fix it ?
Thanks for attention

where is that restart button? I can not see it.

You have to access the web interface when connected via wifi to the dongle by accessing http://192.168.50.2 and in the settings page accesible from there (where you can set the sync mode, sound quality, media delay...) the button is on the upper left corner.

Keep in mind that august firmware did not have this settings page, you need to update to a newer firmware...

In my mercedes it works fine, too. The reboots are gone, Navigation with google maps is good. Sometimes it seems to have its problems. Sometimes screen and music is there right away, sometimes it takes up to 10 seconds.
But only small problems. All in all it works very good and it´s worth the price now.

Hello, maybe somebody can help me. I´ve installed on my Carplay2air adapter the firmware 2020-08-27 because I tried almost every Software because of my Mazda 2 car. 2020-10-28, 2020-08-04, ...... Nothing worked. And the firmware did not work too. It has a different graphical design.

But now it was possible to change the firmware. OTA: 2020.11.12.1349. Different design, no change via USB possible V-Lud writes: rename U2W_Update.img to U2W_SYD_Update.img if you are on 2020.08.27) But even that does not work.
And the other problem isn´t solved too: The Adapter works and boots after 30-45 sek. It´s horrible. Is there anybody who can tell me about Mazda Connect 1.Version newest firmware. Thanks...

You can rollback from the joyeauto firmware (different design) if you rename the file to U2W_ZYD_Update.img. I'm sure it was a typo. Or joyeauto changed the "box_product_type" some time ago to separate their devices.

Unfortunately the reboot problem persists on the latest firmware.

After how long it starts when you star engine?

Thank you for this thread and to the relevant contributors for the firmware file hosting: I have consistently been unable to make an OTA update to my Carlinkit 2.0 dongle. I was able to download the latest firmware and apply the update offline. Now the unit is more responsive in my Mercedes C Class (W205) under NTG5.5, and I could remove my old phone from the list - I know it was not necessary but it was annoying that the dongle was not responsive enough to be able to do so. I think it starts up a little faster too, overall improvements yet to be seen.
