I bought one for my Hyundai Kona. It came pre installed with the 2.0 firmware but just can’t get it to work.

The wifi connection that it creates will last no longer than 10 seconds before it disappears so I’ve only been able to access the 192.168.50.2 page once for a very brief second, so there’s no hope for me to update OTA. I think mine is actually faulty?

I did get a response 2 days ago I did get a address to return it to. But they also wanted me too keep trying ads they have new firmware every day.

Well I am returning it as I requested and answer to a question on them extending the return. But they asked me to cancel my dispute for that.

I am mailing it back in the ,morning and then forwarding that email with tracking # of the return to the credit card company. I would rather keep connecting my phone when I want to use CarPlay than keep messing with this adapter. It is just not worth it.

I’ve received no response from carplay2air since Tuesday (which was a firmware update email). I’ll probably submit a PayPal complaint this weekend, and see if it gets me anywhere.
 
Not to add any more fuel to the fire, but has anyone been successful in getting the dongle to play streamed music? I can play music files stored on my iPhone XR running 13.3 but not files streamed from Apple Music. TIA for any input.

Guessing by your username you have a Volvo. I do too and I stream Apple Music every single day. Give me more info and I’ll try to help as best I can
 
Two SPA Volvos, actually. Apple Music has always streamed just fine when an iPhone is connected via a Lightning cable directly to the USB port. But when the phone is connected to the dongle via wi-fi, the Apple Music titles and artwork are displayed in the Library on Sensus but they are grayed out and can't be selected. I must be overlooking some setting on the iPhone. 😕

Just had an email from Michael asking which model car I have. Hoping this is so the developer cam add the phone functionality for the i dash display and the steering wheel button.
 
I have had an email stating that they will accept the return of the dongle but I have to pay shipping and forfit a $25 restocking fee. That is not happening, I have replied stating that I was promised a refund in FULL if the device was not compatible with the Jaguar. Let's see what the response is. I can just about maybe handle the shipping cost although I have no idea how much that will be.
 
Michael is back. He responded to my Jeep video email isolating the cause of the problem. Crossing fingers now

Just open a dispute on your CC. Much easier that way.

Jerry - I just received a similar email from Michael and sent a reply similar to yours, saying I should not have a $25 fee and they should reimburse me for shipping costs, given that they lied about the device working in my car.

I have. Does that mean that I should now ignore all contact from Michael though?

I was told the same thing. But they did reply to me with a return address and mine is on the way back. They also replied to the tracking info I provided.

But I had a dispute with the bank going on.

Did you also get told about the $25 restocking fee?
 
really hard for them you get this as the credit card company has given me the money back. They told me about the in the email if it was not defective. But the damn thing did not work right.

What did you do with the dongle once the card company gave you the money back? Did you send it back?

If you have done the USB method update all the others are done over the air by logging on when its in your car and active.

Have you updated to the latest firmware?
