MY last update was using USB. I wonder why OTA is not working.Did you try the usb update?
Same here, lol. But after waiting almost a year to be able to use the Carlinkit, I am ecstatic that it's been almost a week with only one issue in my Mazda. I did have a Mazda Connect reboot after going back in my car after refueling it, but I've had a similar issue with wired CarPlay in my car in the same situation (not a full reboot, but a situation where CarPlay is very slow to connect). I think the Mazda Connect system doesn't like connecting to CarPlay again in a very short amount of time. I can live with that since that situation rarely happens.MY last update was using USB. What firmware code did you end up running?I have 2 Cplay2air adapter one for my 2020 Toyota Highlander and one for my 2019 Toyota Avalon
After Entune infotainment system update in my Avalon last November the cplay2air adapter robots itself every 30 seconds.
The same adaptor placed in my Highlander works fine.
The cplay2air from my Highlander also reboots every 30 seconds in my Avalon.
reseting the infotainment system doesn’t fix issue.
firmware upgrade haven’t t fixed issue.
Any ideas?
I tried 02-02 for my C Class 2019. But I flashed back to 01-08, because I got black screens very often. What is your experience with Mercedes? Which one is better 2021-01-08 or 2021-02-02?
Strange as I have the exact opposite behavior with the 02-02.I tried 02-02 for my C Class 2019. But I flashed back to 01-08, because I got black screens very often.
When GPS is "On" does the GPS signal come from the iPhone or from the car? I did not notice any difference during the test.
I have also used the 02-02 firmware on my Mercedes A200 2020 model and so far it has worked flawlessly too.Strange as I have the exact opposite behavior with the 02-02.

Thanks, that was it! What settings are the best? Without stuttering audio... and what are all the options there?Clear the browser cache on your iPhone and then connect again to the dongle.
My Volkswagen works well at the 500ms delay; anything less than that and the audio gets choppy. Thanks, that was it! What settings are the best? Without stuttering audio... and what are all the options there?
I think it is the Car's. I had ice and snow covering most of my sharkfin antenna. The GPS signal was going in and out until I cleared them. Can anyone answer to this question?
Sorry if my questions have already been answered dozens of times in this thread, but ... well, it's over 200 pages long and I may have missed a post or two ;-) I purchased a Carlinkit 2.0-Dongle for my Toyota Yaris 2020 (Denso multimedia system) yesterday.
1.) What is the naming convention behind the firmware versions? So far, my best guess would be "U2W_Update_YYYY.MM.DD.HHMM.img".
2.) From reading all those posts, it seems like both the Carlinkit- and the Car2Play-Dongles share the same firmwares? What exactly is "U2W"? Are those dongles essentially the same hardware, repackaged in another case?
3.) The first thing I did after connecting to the dongle was to upgrade the firmware. Unfortunately, I did not write down what firmware it originally shipped with, but I am now on version "2021.01.08.1658" via OTA-upgrade. It now says I'm on the latest version. That is of course not really true, with "2021.02.02.2110" being a lot newer. Why isn't it showing up? Is it that they have to manually "approve" builds to be found via OTA-upgrade? If so, is it generelly safer to stick to those instead of manually flashing firmwares harvested through some scripts from their servers?
Thanks!

You are not going to see any difference if both your phone and the car are getting good GPS signal. Select the GPS source and then block it then you'll know if it is actually using the selected source. It is not possible blocking GPS on the phone since will probably block the WiFi too for the test. When the dongle settings GPS is set to ON, does the carplay uses Phone GPS?
I tried both ON and OFF and do not see any difference?
