On the ludwig github it has the 2021.01.28 changed firmware. I have the original 2021.01.28. They are the same? Can I update?

MY last update was using USB. I wonder why OTA is not working.
Same here, lol. But after waiting almost a year to be able to use the Carlinkit, I am ecstatic that it's been almost a week with only one issue in my Mazda. I did have a Mazda Connect reboot after going back in my car after refueling it, but I've had a similar issue with wired CarPlay in my car in the same situation (not a full reboot, but a situation where CarPlay is very slow to connect). I think the Mazda Connect system doesn't like connecting to CarPlay again in a very short amount of time. I can live with that since that situation rarely happens.

Everything is working fine in my Mazda with 1.28. I don't see any reason to update it anymore. Unless some new features are added. I been playing with media delay. 500 seems to be a good setting. Tried 300 sounds started to breakup.

I have 2 Cplay2air adapter one for my 2020 Toyota Highlander and one for my 2019 Toyota Avalon

After Entune infotainment system update in my Avalon last November the cplay2air adapter robots itself every 30 seconds.

The same adaptor placed in my Highlander works fine.

The cplay2air from my Highlander also reboots every 30 seconds in my Avalon.

reseting the infotainment system doesn’t fix issue.

firmware upgrade haven’t t fixed issue.

Any ideas?

What firmware code did you end up running?

Updated my Carlinkit CPC200-U2W-Plus to 02.Feb.2021 firmware.

Faster Booting and no screen blackout in my last 5 days drive (more than 12 Hrs drive). All the time playing Apple music and Apple Maps for navigation.

In my experience 02.Feb.2021 is the best firmware for 2018 Honda Accord Touring.

In august 2020 I tried to make a CarLinkit 2.0 work in my Mazda 6 2019.
I sometimes stayed working for about half an hour and updating was unsuccessful, so I returned it to the seller.
I stayed on this forum to see if there were new developments.
Apparently people reported success for the Mazda MZD, so I ordered a new one form AliExpress.
It took 3 days to receive it. (came directly from Belgium)
I received my new unit today and was able to flash it with 01-28 firmware.
No reboots anymore now, it appears to stay stable.
Only time will tell if it stays that way, but I am very hopeful.

Strange as I have the exact opposite behavior with the 02-02.

Same for me with 2020 C Class: with 01-28 it was starting up to blank screen almost every time, but 02-02 has cured this. However, I could not make OTA update from 01-28 - I used a USB stick. It is possible that clearing the browser cache could have helped but I did not bother to check.

With 02-02 the white settings button now has a cog wheel image. And I tried enabling background mode: the startup screen never bothered me but I do find it tidier to go straight into the CarPlay screen once the iPhone has connected.

Hi,
I‘m having a carplay2air v1 and flashed the newest firmware 2021-02-02. I wasn‘t long time here to read all the pages. I have the problem in spotify with audio delay 1-2 sec. when skipping tracks. This was on older firmwares the same as at the new one. On the update screen on my iphone i can‘t go in settings at the white Button as some people wrote here to change settings. The only thing i get there is 3 options: save logs, open logs and upload logs. How can i fix this audio delay? Can i do something else? Or must i live with this? This was also the reason why i didn‘t use my adapter for long time and now i think to start again but this delay is nervous. For any help i‘m thankfully. I have a Volkswagen car.

Thanks, that was it! What settings are the best? Without stuttering audio... and what are all the options there?
My Volkswagen works well at the 500ms delay; anything less than that and the audio gets choppy.

Sorry if my questions have already been answered dozens of times in this thread, but ... well, it's over 200 pages long and I may have missed a post or two ;-) I purchased a Carlinkit 2.0-Dongle for my Toyota Yaris 2020 (Denso multimedia system) yesterday.

1.) What is the naming convention behind the firmware versions? So far, my best guess would be "U2W_Update_YYYY.MM.DD.HHMM.img".
2.) From reading all those posts, it seems like both the Carlinkit- and the Car2Play-Dongles share the same firmwares? What exactly is "U2W"? Are those dongles essentially the same hardware, repackaged in another case?
3.) The first thing I did after connecting to the dongle was to upgrade the firmware. Unfortunately, I did not write down what firmware it originally shipped with, but I am now on version "2021.01.08.1658" via OTA-upgrade. It now says I'm on the latest version. That is of course not really true, with "2021.02.02.2110" being a lot newer. Why isn't it showing up? Is it that they have to manually "approve" builds to be found via OTA-upgrade? If so, is it generelly safer to stick to those instead of manually flashing firmwares harvested through some scripts from their servers?

Thanks!

How it is behaving with the 2020 yaris? I got a new one and I was thinking to buy a Carlinkit dongle to work with it

I updated mine to 2021.02.02. It works similar fine to very old SW in my Porsche 718. I hoped it would work on the Sony xav-ax1000 head unit it another can in my family but it does not. The head unit does not repsond to connecting it in any way.

02/02 doesn’t appear as an OTA option for some reason, but 1/28 seems pretty good. I like that i can set an option for the device to wait for me to select which phone to use. Connection seems more stable than before.

I wish the UI were prettier though. The green buttons with wonky font just looks cheap.

When the dongle settings GPS is set to ON, does the carplay uses Phone GPS?

I tried both ON and OFF and do not see any difference?
You are not going to see any difference if both your phone and the car are getting good GPS signal. Select the GPS source and then block it then you'll know if it is actually using the selected source. It is not possible blocking GPS on the phone since will probably block the WiFi too for the test.
