So thats a result if its working now then.

Worrying that they sent you away with a part finished software update, what if there was some safety related stuff that had got messed up.
No kidding right. Yes it’s working same old crappiness from before.

Something doesn’t work. My phone says I’m connected, but in the top right corner it still says 4G. And 192.168.50.2 doesn’t load. I’m connected but not connected, it seems.

Might be because I have a carlinkit...

That’s what it does - you connect to the WiFi but it still says 4G (and the WiFi connection is invisible)... though you should still be able to connect to 192.168.50.2

Edited to add - Carlinkit is identical to Carplay2air. I’ve got a Carlinkit too. :)

Got one of them but i like having carplay on those short journeys where you leave your phone in your pocket.

The Brodie will be coming out shortly now I am comfortable with the wireless unit.

I can't drive with a 11 pro in my pocket lol. Where i live only way legally to use your phone in a car is with a mounted holder, so will have to keep mine.
I also drive 2300km's over 3 days often so need the phone charging too.

So I just got my CarPlay2air unit in the mail the other day, was so excited to get it set up but man, it's been an absolute sh!tsh0w !!

Car Make/Model: Mercedes-Benz CLA250 Sport 4Matic (2017)
Phone Make/Model: iPhone 11 Pro Max (iOS 13.3)

Has anyone with the same car been able to get it working at all? "Michael" has been very unresponsive after the sale.. no after-sale support whatsoever...

EDIT: Providing more context, after I plug in my Carplay2air device into the smartphone integration USB port, make sure that both bluetooth and wifi are enabled on my phone, I'm able to find the bluetooth name "MERC-xxxx" (xxxx = some numbers) and am able to pair with it (the phone is provided with a pairing code of some random numbers, and I tap on pair). However, after that nothing happens. No connection to Wifi and the bluetooth connection drops out as well. So unable to activate CarPlay.

You can check if you have the latest UConnect for your car online at https://www.driveuconnect.com. Just enter your VIN. I know mine have the latest for my Jeep Compass.

Interesting that whatever state @mikejd1 was placed, it resemble what I get (just the red light).

Just get the one already made from Ali express or one of the magnetic QI mounts from amazon

And miss all the fun? Besides the magnetic wireless charger all require a special case or metal plate insert. I'm designing something simple to be printed. Also, stuff from Ali takes too long to arrive. I can design and print quickly.

The Brodit gave me an idea to make a simplified version of it to attach on the side of the center console. I'll be using it (printing in black as I write) until I get the CarPlay2Air issue sorted out. Not the best solution, but just sliding the phone is better than manually attaching the cable. Most fo the time I do not handle the phone in the car, so a sliding holder on the side is a nice temporary solution.

Not all Carlinkit are made equal!!!

I’ve had mY unit for about a month now and it’s never worked. For the past week I’ve been trying to get it to update and was finally able to update and register. Same issues as before. I get music and sound but no display. It’s a 2020 Toyota Tacoma. This company is horrible and I’ve already files a dispute with American Express

I got mine yesterday. So far, it's worked flawlessly with my 2018 MY Audi RS3. Initial setup and pairing was straight forward and worked first time, connection is rapid, it's very responsive with no noticeable lag at all. In fact, for me, it's identical to it being plugged in via a cable. I've also used it in a 2016 Audi Q7 and it works just as well in that vehicle too.

I have not checked what software version my Carplay2Air is yet.

OK so update on my situation, I tried to get it working again and same crap happening, able to to connect to the bluetooth but then it disconnects.. unable to activate carplay..

But what I tried today was plug in my phone into the Carplay2air dongle's USB port, which is connected to my car, then try activate it that way. For some reason, the car was able to start the wired carplay through there and then the dongle was activated as well - it stayed on long enough for me to make a bluetooth connection and get the wireless carplay working. I even navigated to the dongle's IP address in my phone's safari browser just to make sure it was connected wirelessly, and it was.. however, this seems to be the only way for me to get it working (i.e. start off with cable, connect via bluetooth once the cable connection is established, then carplay works wirelessly and I'm able to disconnect the cable). This is a half-arsed solution and very annoying to have to initiate connection via cable first... I'm hoping Michael responds to me sometime soon because it's getting annoying. It's supposed to be wireless carplay, not wireless carplay after establishing wired carplay..

Thanks :) But it’s weird then, that I can’t connect to192.168.50.2 isnt it?
The red light keeps flashing and it just says “connecting”.

Just a heads up. That unconnect software site doesn’t work. I had several updates to my unconnect that the dealership did that the website told me my VIN was “up to date” which was a crock of ****.

Good to know. Thanks. But I assume that my 2020 Jeep has a recent, if not the latest, firmware. But I will get in touch with the dealership to be sure.

On another note, sent yet another email to "Michael" asking for any "Jeep related news". So far... silence (one night delay as it's coming from China). Still waiting... waiting...waiting...

I plan on filling a PayPal dispute if “Michael” doesn’t respond to my emails today...

Mines never worked, however got the new FW on and although nothing on car screen managed to connect to its WiFi and get an update, still didn’t work.

Now can’t connect to its WiFi and doesn’t work, pointless....

What’s the latest CarPlay2air firmware? I can’t seem to download any because the one that is showing is a test firmware.
Also how does one go about changing modes? I keep reading here about modes 0, 1, 2, 3. Cheers.
