Which version is the June one? For me till now the July 4th is the best. 5th Gave me delay on the screen, specially in Gmaps. Just flashed the august fw, going to test this one.you can always rollback to the june FW which had 2x2 MIMO. Possibly the one before-last as well, where i saw 867mbps. Basically just stop updating when you see 2021.08.24 as next update.
According to the tech I was working with this is normal operation.
My unit never connects so the Debug network is the only one I ever see.

My unit is in fact still only connecting every second time. I connected to the Debug network and browsed 192.168.0.1 where I found exactly the same Chinese menu as usual, offering the option to upgrade but that confirms I am running the latest version. I have a very powerful Chinese translation tool (Pleco, for those interested) and have used this to verify the meaning of the text.Correct, I also see the debug wifi before establishing a connection
hi guys, i've just done this OTA update and my phone now fails to connect. i've tried to connect to the unit manually- looking for debug wifi but it never shows up. can somebody advise on the best course of action here? i've tried some images from vlud's github but the firmware doesnt get installed.Just saw this new OTA update. Will update and see if things run smoothly
Which CarPlay adapter do you have? We are talking about at least three different models in this thread... the @VLud archive is for CarLinkIt adapters, not the Cheerdriving / Podofo unit. The Debug wifi network is a feature of the Cheerdriving / Podofo unit only.hi guys, i've just done this OTA update and my phone now fails to connect. i've tried to connect to the unit manually- looking for debug wifi but it never shows up. can somebody advise on the best course of action here? i've tried some images from vlud's github but the firmware doesnt get installed.
Answering myself... I wonder if the hit-and-miss connection is a connection timing issue: I had the car set to connect CarPlay automatically, and whilst I configured a 2 or 3 second delay on my CarLinkIt 2.0 there is no way to vary either the car timing or on the Podofo. My hypothesis is that if the CarPlay connection times out (car side) the Podofo stops advertising CarPlay (how that works I have no idea, perhaps this idea is simply wrong) and so the car never sees it and will not automatically try the CarPlay connection again. It certainly does retry with the CarLinkIt, for instance when the adapter reboots itself. My unit is in fact still only connecting every second time. I like the Podofo for its compact size and for the moment I am willing to live with having to unplug/plug the USB A end to restart it when it refuses to connect. Not sure how long that will last though,
Meanwhile I unpacked the ISPBOOOT.BIN image using 7-Zip and will comb through it during the next few days.
Be interesting to know what you find - I’m very happy with my unit in my Ford with sync 3.4 - I can’t get it into casting mode but then they don’t officially support my vehicle so no real complaints, when in car play it actually works really well.Meanwhile I unpacked the ISPBOOOT.BIN image using 7-Zip and will comb through it during the next few days.
What do you mean by streams with artifacts? They might support non-car maker radios in the future, keep in mind that the firmware is at version 0.0.5 so it's clearly on it's infancy.
I already received it and it works like magic (posted a few pages back).Much better than my carlinkit v1 and does also not freeze/crash and it stays very cool to the touch. I also feel it boots-up and connect a bit more faster. Airplay casting also works but in my devices streams with artifacts, so it needs a bit more of development.
Today I did a more difficult test: 1 hour driving with GPS on, music and several calls. No issues at all.
I'm pretty satisfied, a very nice and cheap upgrade.

Sadly not - it seems my touch screen just has no input whilst the units booting although when it’s in car play it’s ok - no physical buttons to try either.Does this work?
Maybe you can reach out to them and ask if they can look into configuring this to work for your Ford?Sadly not - it seems my touch screen just has no input whilst the units booting although when it’s in car play it’s ok - no physical buttons to try either.
It is not a car timeout: connecting CarPlay manually after waiting for COMAND to have fully booted was still subject to the every second connection isn't. No CarPlay device was visible in the list until I physically reboot the Podofo even though it had already booted from cold.Answering myself... I have disabled auto connect on the car and will see tomorrow.
I also have this problem with my Carlinkit v2 but it happens maybe once every 8 time so it's not too bad. The Carplay screen will come up and it keeps searching for phones but won't connect. When it doesn't automatically connect, I will have to unplug and replug to get it working again. It is not a car timeout: connecting CarPlay manually after waiting for COMAND to have fully booted was still subject to the every second connection isn't. I ordered my 10 days ago and still not shipped yet. The so called official store replied my message saying that my order will be shipped soon.Ordered my podofo a 2 days ago and haven’t received shipping confirmation yet.
Yikes. Doesn’t it say you’re entitled to a refund if they don’t ship out within a certain amount of time?I ordered my 10 days ago and still not shipped yet. The so called official store replied my message saying that my order will be shipped soon.
