Today I got my Podofo Adapter from Ali. I made the update on 192.168.0.1
But after that I had some issues to connect any device using Carplay. I had to restart my car unit (Mercedes C Class 2019). But after that everything connected again! I also tested Airplay, this is awesome. It worked perfectly with pictures and YouTube videos.
I will report after some tests. I paid about 37 Euro for this nice device.

Glad to hear that the AirPlay casting is working! Can you tell me if there is any lag or delay with audio and the airplay videos?

I hope it all works out.
My Podofo doesnt work and the seller just keeps running me in circles.
First they wanted me to install an Android app.
Then they wanted a video of the problem.
Then they asked questions that were clearly answered in the video (like whether my phone was an Apple phone  )
I finally gave up and opened a dispute today.

The Podofo does look like identical to the one from Cheerdriving so if anyone really wants one I suggest ordering directly from them.
As mentioned, I got my Podofo device today and had exactly the same issue. The solution was very easy: I used another cable and it worked. The original one is just not working in my car.

what's the link on Ali ? tks

After some tests, I had a lot of crashes when using HD videos. Device stops working. Not yet mature.
Thanks for the updates! So when streaming 480p and below, it doesn’t crash? Have you tried testing Netflix or any other streaming apps?

What issues did you have on previous Mazda firmware? Also it’s worth noting that v70.0034 works best with the carlinkit firmware from March 2021. When I updated my Mazda firmware to v74, none of the carlinkit firmwares from March-July worked for me so I downgraded back to v70.00367 and to March 2021.
I've been running the latest Carlinkit software in my v70 Mazda MX-5 with no different issues from the March release. I believe the main thing the Mazda v74 release included was support for the 2021 OEM wireless CarPlay hardware (which we do not have). Overall, I am pretty satisfied, especially since my phone used to fly out of the dash cubby before going wireless and keeping it in my pocket.

Meanwhile a lot of problems. It does not start when I start my car. In most of the cases I have to plug/unplug the device. I will go back to Carlinkit and wait for software updates.

Got the Podofo. Initially popped up with loading screen but now never does. I’ve updated to latest firmware on it.

I’ve connected to the BT “connectboxbt” and “use CarPlay” and it’s conedxta to its WiFi but doesn’t show up.

This is exact same issue I had for over a year on my CarLinkIt v1. Then one day just connected. This seems to be same issue.

Maybe just nave to wait until more firmware comes out to see. I think it’s more my car than it. Just have to keep using my CarLinkIt v1 for now.

hi, I previously updated my carlinkit device to a custom firmware (2021.03.10.1430) that I can't seem to update/rollback, it has an issue where it doesn't always connect. I would be grateful to know how to return it to the stock firmware. Thanks

Just put the Custom Firmware or any version prior 2021.03.06 and rename the file to U2W_ZYD_Update.img and you will be good to go.

Hi, friends. Please advise wireless carplay box for Mitsubishi Connect SDA. Mitsubishi Pajero 2018. I bought Carlinkit 3.0, but it's not working...red led light on carlinkit blinks with 20-30s period. thanks

I like the look of the custom loading screen, but I can’t fathom how to load the custom firmware. I have the carlink with red ui with the very latest firmware. Is there an easy to understand guide somewhere?

2021.08.30.0022 is finally stable at 350ms latency on both the newer CPlay2Air V2 (glossy case, silver logo, green UI) and older Carlinkit 2.0 CPC200-U2W-Plus (detachable cable, green UI)
i tested even with 300ms on v3 (autokit UI) and seems fine. Tempted to go even lower :)
Only thing notice-able in sound is a slight glitch right after ending a phonecall and music resumes.

Hi,
I just received the podofo adapter (thanks for the link :))
It works quite fine.
But i tried to connect to 192.168.0.1 to update it.

Nice! What vehicle do you drive! And does casting/airplay work well?

Still waiting for mine to come in. I was given a new tracking website from the seller and it shows that my item is in California already. Just needs to get to USPS from the shipping partner.

I bought a car which has wired CarPlay (a 2020 VW T-Cross, the 2021 update has wireless). Now, I don’t mind plugging in, at all, but the talk of portless iPhone scares me. Also, I don‘t feel like any of the solutions here are 100% reliable. Do you think there will be a more “official” solution if a portless iPhone happens, or am I screwed in that case? I certainly don’t plan on getting a new car in the next 5-6 years.

Interestingly some OTA updates seem be offered depending on device id.
I haven't updated mine (Carlinkit USB-C, I suppose "v2") in a while (works quite well in my Kia).

When I visit http://192.168.50.2 the URL for checking is

Even if I delete the curVer parameter I am only getting offered "U2W_Update_2021.03.06.1343.img"
If I check without the uuid parameter (http://www.paplink.cn/server.php?ac...stomerBoxType&lang=2&CustomerType=P&BoxType=U) the latest is U2W_Update_2021.08.30.0022.img

---

Update: I did manage to OTA-Update all the way to the newest by always updating the offered version (needed 3 updates)
2020.11.10 -> 2021.03.06 -> 2021.07.04 -> 2021.08.30

Either the following versions removed the uuid as the Update-Parameter or Carlinkit keeps a record of which version an adapter is on.

I personally believe if they really go portless they'll integrate something like a smart connector (like the iPad has), which presumably would work with an adapter to USB/Lightning). Otherwise they would kill the entire market of accessories that require power.
But obviously at this point this is all pure speculation.
