Installed the latest update (August 30) for my Carlinkit V2 (USB-C). I'm using it with a Skoda Scala and this seems to be the best version yet. It does not crash or freeze anymore, even after a 3-hour drive. I have found out that choosing GPS to use phone works better for me. If it used GPS from the car, it would freeze after 30 minutes/1 hour.
Happy with the device and wireless carplay. I'm not updating anymore, unless they manage to make some improvement in booting

Are these for the Podofo from Aliexpress? I’ve got one and did an OTA using 192.168.0.1. Not sure what version is.
However still doesn’t work on my car, my original v1 CarLinkIt does now, after a long while of not.
I take it you put on a MicroSD to flash somehow? Are they definitely the same device? Do cheerdriving say it’s safe?
@VLud No dice. Same exact outcome with U2W_AUTOKIT_Update_2020.12.25.1732_ROLLBACK.img -- "Update Success" after 5 seconds or so. Then you place the CFW and you get "Update failed".
This is consistent with two brand new factory sealed V3.0 devices.
Anyone else with v3.0 dongles successfully installed custom firmware?

i am now on 43.0.6 version and it still ok.
now I have access to OTA update.
Will try that now.
And the procedure please. Is it similar to the CarLinkIt ones? Did they just send you an *.img file to load and flash?
Did you just say you have a connectbox when asking for support? There is a WhatsApp number on, so I could ask and say it’s a connectbox I have, as it’s the same as a Podofo isn’t it?
I’ll check my version, but I got one OTA and now says up to date, or there’s nothing there, or this version can’t use OTA?
Did they tel you what the other versions fixed etc?

So how did you get these please?
They are ok for the Podofo connectbox?
What version is the last link please, is that the latest?
Does it convert it from Podofo to cheerdriving or are they the same interface etc anyway?
Is there any detail on what or fixes or adds etc?
Does it have to be plugged into a USB charger or the car USB port? Just the CarLinkIt one was a wall charger.
What size SD, any format specifics?
How do I see the version? I can’t see in my connectbox now going on the web page, although it has done 1 OTA

I think cheer and podofo has same interface anyway. Didn’t see any difference between my stock podofo fw and the one from cheer
I used the port of the car.
My sd card is fat32 32gb
Version can be seen when podofo is plugged in car and CarPlay not connected on phone, on head unit in upper right you will see FW version.
I am now on version 06 and 09 seems to be the latest.

Ok I can’t see that startup screen. Part of my problem….for some reason it connects to WiFi/BT etc but doesn’t activate onto my car touchscreen.
I had exact same problem with CarLInkIt, took about a year before started to work after numerous FW and messing.
I’m just hoping this might work for new FW. So your last link says 43007 is that 07 and your latest?

09 is the latest and then shows as error on the web interface. This is normal and due to no newer update available (confirmed by cheerdriving).
For everyone having problems, try to contact cheerdriving directly (podofo is just a reseller). On the starting days of carlinkit we had to report many issues and they started fixing them and adding more compatibility. Feel free to report issues, I'm sure there's a way to obtain debug logs for your car/unit.

You say 09 is latest, but a newer version available? From where? Does 09 work ok just the OTA isn’t?
I’m going to try a version as mine doesn’t connect to my car screen currently
That download for 09 once extracted is just called ISOBOOT whereas the othershave numbers after is this safe to use? What name format is needed?

Copied ISPBOOT from 09 link. Hasn’t gone well so far….the MicroSD fell inside the unit first!
Plugged in and it’s been flashing green for 4mins now, how long does it take??

Left another 6mins and still flashing away so had to unplug when it went solid once. Plugged back in and now no lights, looks like it’s dead….great….

Put another version on ISPBOO43007, plugged in and dead. No green light or nothing. Looks like completely broke.

I would recommend not trying AirPlay on ConnectBox yet. I can connect and AirPlay but it completely locks up to go into a reboot loop and car cannot activate the device anymore - no BT, WiFi broadcast either.
I'm guessing some kind of corruption occurs which can only be fixed by reflashing either 43.0.3 or 43.0.9. This could also be because my 2018 car (NTG) is not on the compatibility list.

I got a Connectbox the other day running 43.0.9. Carplay is useless in my 2020 Prius. It connects but will reboot after about 30 seconds every time. Airplay works somewhat. I can play videos from Plex with no problems. Youtube only shows a black screen.
I'll stick with the Carlinkit 3.0 until the Connectbox firmware matures a bit.

Have to let them know which website you bought their Connectbox from (AliExpress, etc) and enter your item no. before you can be accepted into the group. There's only 15 people in there at the moment, but it is moderated by CheerDriving so I think this might be useful for those experiencing issues to have direct contact with them and others.
Edit: Not sure if they will let us Podofo users in though.. lol. I will try when I get mine.

I finally received my podofo and unfortunately it will not connect with my Mazda. The green light is on when the device is plugged in but It the car does not recognize it as a carplay device.
It’s strange though because every time I go to unplug the device, the enable carplay screen pops up on my Mazda infotainment for a split second right before it’s fully unplugged.
I can’t seem to get to the 192.168.0.1 address at all when connected to the Connectbox WiFi.
Will try to flash the newest firmware you guys listed later and report back.

It's probably crashing on boot. Try to update to the .9 firmware with a microSD card and check again.
Gonna try with .6 first to see if it works. Saw MrMister say he tried .9 and it bricked his device.
This is weird. I can’t even get it to update. It won’t light up. SMH.
edit: the device lights up with a solid green when I removed the SD card. I inserted the card again and the device still solid green. No flashing. Tried unplugging device, inserting sd card with new file, Light does not turn on when an SD card is inserted. Tried with multiple different update files. Nothings working.
