I personally believe if they really go portless they'll integrate something like a smart connector (like the iPad has), which presumably would work with an adapter to USB/Lightning). Otherwise they would kill the entire market of accessories that require power.
But obviously at this point this is all pure speculation.

Thanks. Hope you’re right.

Hi,
I ve updated the podofo with the file found on cheerdriving site.
Update went ok with flashing green light follow by fixed light.
Now the box is not working, bluetooth is not available anymore and the box is not recognized by the radio.
:(

I think you’re the second or third person to update and now it’s not working. This is not a good sign. What’s the update version you used?

Did you not use the official web interface at 192.168.0.1? Was it not working and needed to update?

i couldnt access the web interface.
it was like i wasn't connected to the box although carplay worked properly.
So i used SD card update

I had some lag in GPS

I tried the 07 firmware same issue.
i then applied back 03 firmware and I am up and running again.
how do you update with iPhone?
i can’t access the 192.168.0.1 adress..

Wish I could help. My podofo device hasn’t seen an update in shipping since 9/11. It’s in LA but with the shipping partner. Has not reached USPS yet.

Is the Podofo worth getting if I have. Car2play version? It's slow over bluerooth.
What do you mean by “slow over bluetooth”? Once the initial set-up is made over Bluetooth, CarPlay connects using only Wi-Fi.

See my earlier and others’ posts about the Podofo - experience is mixed. In my case I have put my CarLinkIt 2.0 back until there is a newer software release than 43.0.9….. as it is not stable enough for me.

Clear your browser cache and restart the browser, then try again to connect to 192.168.0.1. I can only get the interface in Chinese, but I deciphered enough of it to know that it says I am on the latest version, which in the case of 43.0.9… is true. Your mileage may vary.

Tap the top left button in the search/address bar and it will translate for you into English.

Should I do this while CarPlay is running ?

Figured I'd ask, does anyone have a simple or easy-to-follow guide for switching over the @VLud's custom firmware for the 3.0 device? I'm going to be making the switch in a few days, and if someone has something I'd appreciate it. Otherwise, I'll thrash through it and type something up as I do it (presuming I don't brick it in the process). :)

Impossible to update a v3.0 device -- I just tried on 2 brand new v3.0 devices (with Red interface). @VLud keeps saying "it's user error" and closing my bug/issue, but I have successfully updated v2.0 devices. The v3.0 devices cannot be rolled back -- it says updated successfully (doesn't seem to install the firmware -- U2W_Update_2020.11.10.2138_ROLLBACK.img -- renamed to: "U2W_AUTOKIT_Update.img" as it does it in like 5 seconds). But, the internal webpage does show the rollback version 2020.11.10.2139, however, the interface is still the red one, not the green/blue one. But then, when you try and install the CFW (any version, but has to be named "U2W_AUTOKIT_Update.img", "U2W_Update.img" does nothing) -- it shows "Update Failed".

You can however, update to the latest official from the GitHub and then downgrade/update... but CFW will not install on a V3.0 device.

More people with v3.0 devices that want to install CFW need to 1) try and confirm my findings then 2) ask @VLud because he doesn't seem to think it's an issue. I have been trying all combinations for a couple weeks now with no success...

Received the ConnectBox (Podofo) today. CarPlay works fine on my 2018 MB C300 (W205) and is the fastest adapter to boot to the pairing/connect screen.

I couldn't open 192.168.0.1 either even though the phone Wi-Fi IP was 192.168.0.4

How is the casting/airplay for you?

Try U2W_AUTOKIT_Update_2020.12.25.1732_ROLLBACK.img instead then. You can't install CFW straight away due to new encryption, nothing new.
