CarPlay CarPlay adapter to convert to wireless CarPlay?

You say 09 is latest, but a newer version available? From where? Does 09 work ok just the OTA isn’t?

I’m going to try a version as mine doesn’t connect to my car screen currently

That download for 09 once extracted is just called ISOBOOT whereas the othershave numbers after is this safe to use? What name format is needed?

*edit*
Copied ISPBOOT from 09 link. Hasn’t gone well so far….the MicroSD fell inside the unit first!

Plugged in and it’s been flashing green for 4mins now, how long does it take??

*edit2*
Left another 6mins and still flashing away so had to unplug when it went solid once. Plugged back in and now no lights, looks like it’s dead….great….

*edit3*
Put another version on ISPBOO43007, plugged in and dead. No green light or nothing. Looks like completely broke.

Thanks
Is yours “dead” even without an SD card plugged in? Mine is “dead” only when my sd card is plugged in.

Vehicle: Mazda CX-5 2019 GT
Infotainment: version 70.0367A NA
Device: Podofo
Firmware: unknown

I finally received my podofo and unfortunately it will not connect with my Mazda. The green light is on when the device is plugged in but It the car does not recognize it as a carplay device.

It’s strange though because every time I go to unplug the device, the enable carplay screen pops up on my Mazda infotainment for a split second right before it’s fully unplugged.

I can’t seem to get to the 192.168.0.1 address at all when connected to the Connectbox WiFi.

Will try to flash the newest firmware you guys listed later and report back.
You tried another cable? My Podofo does not work with the original cable, but with any other one.

Interestingly some OTA updates seem be offered depending on device id.
I haven't updated mine (Carlinkit USB-C, I suppose "v2") in a while (works quite well in my Kia).

When I visit http://192.168.50.2 the URL for checking is

Even if I delete the curVer parameter I am only getting offered "U2W_Update_2021.03.06.1343.img"
If I check without the uuid parameter (http://www.paplink.cn/server.php?ac...stomerBoxType&lang=2&CustomerType=P&BoxType=U) the latest is U2W_Update_2021.08.30.0022.img

---

Update: I did manage to OTA-Update all the way to the newest by always updating the offered version (needed 3 updates)
2020.11.10 -> 2021.03.06 -> 2021.07.04 -> 2021.08.30

Either the following versions removed the uuid as the Update-Parameter or Carlinkit keeps a record of which version an adapter is on.

I really want to try and get 2021.07.04 to load on, I have tried everything, it loads 2020.11.10 and 2021.03.06 just fine, every time I try 2021.07.04 it just sits on red light. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

EDIT:
Does anyone have the original unmodified firmware for Blue UI U2W_Update_2021.07.04.2222.img as the one on the repository has been modified it seems "2021.07.05.2308 & 2021.07.04.2222 Official firmwares"

I just need 2021.07.04 the only one that is there is for the Red UI (AutoBox)

This is weird. I can’t even get it to update. It won’t light up. SMH.

edit: the device lights up with a solid green when I removed the SD card. I inserted the card again and the device still solid green. No flashing. Tried unplugging device, inserting sd card with new file, Light does not turn on when an SD card is inserted. Tried with multiple different update files. Nothings working.
I used an older non-xc 8GB microSD card. The card needs to be installed prior to the device getting powered on (unlike Carlinkit)

What format is SD in, and what is name of files as I downloaded them as links and tried and looks like I’ve fried my Podofo now as get no lights with/without SD in/out now.

I used regular microSD (8GB) and microSD HC (4GB) cards formatted as FAT32 using SD Association's 'SD Card Formatter' utility since I don't trust Windows & macOS FAT32 formatting capabilities.

One single file named ISPBOOOT.BIN. Also, eject the card safely after copying file.

Ok so it should of worked, is that the exact name? Seem to have extra O in, I’m just checking as these things need exact name.

I wasn’t sure on the file links with 43007 etc on so named it just ISPBOOT.BIN but as I say it went flashing green for over 10mins and thought that was far too long.

Now plugging in the is no green LED with/without SD in….

It needs to be the exact name with an extra O and the card needs to be inserted/removed only while powered off

Ah ok, just checked and the file does have extra O in sorry.

So mine was the 09 version ISPBOOOT.BIN, the flash started but never seemed to finish.

Only removed/inserted when not plugged in but now nothing.

I’ve tried another one of those links but the same, no lights.

Strange, it only took a few seconds for my updates. While plugged into a non-CarPlay USB port, can you check if it's broadcasting ConnectBoxWiFi-Debug SSID few minutes after power up? If so, you can connect to it with 88888888 password. This should be on 43.0.9 firmware.

Yeh that’s why I thought it’s gone wrong. It was flashing away for over 8 mins so knew wasn’t working. Had to just pull it.

Now nothing. Tried the WiFi and nothing

That might be it. I had a 64gb sd card inserted. Don’t have a lower storage lying around. Im surprised I even had a 64gb.. Who uses anything under 128 nowadays? Lol.

I’ll have to find a friend who has a 32gb card or under and try this. Will also try the podofo in another vehicle to see if it connects. I am assuming mine is on .03 since the 192 website doesn’t work when connected to the connectbox WiFi.

i tested even with 300ms on v3 (autokit UI) and seems fine. Tempted to go even lower :)
Only thing notice-able in sound is a slight glitch right after ending a phonecall and music resumes.
That's interesting; my v3 w/ autokit UI can't do anything under about 450-500 without significant skipping.

I would recommend not trying AirPlay on ConnectBox yet. I can connect and AirPlay but it completely locks up to go into a reboot loop and car cannot activate the device anymore - no BT, WiFi broadcast either.

I'm guessing some kind of corruption occurs which can only be fixed by reflashing either 43.0.3 or 43.0.9. This could also be because my 2018 car (NTG) is not on the compatibility list.

Here are screens for 09:

How do you get the OTA update menu in English ?
mine is Chinese

My Podofo arrived, but no response on 192.168.0.1…. Where is everyone getting the firmware updates from for the SD card method? Any website or instructions?

if not public, would someone be willing to share?

works okay in Toyota Tundra, but doesn’t pop to my CarPlay like the Carlinkit does… I have to click on the CarPlay option on my head unit. Sort of annoying. Curious if there’s a better update.

Received my podofo today - results as follows:

arrived with version 43.0.2
Mazda CX9 with MZD on 70 version (Wired carplay) - doesn't active the splashscreen, bluetooth never shows up :(

Ford Focus 2020 - Works perfectly

I will try a newer firmware and see if I can get the mazda working

Cheerdriving just told me they don’t recognize my podofo device and that the WiFi isn’t the WiFi they have on their box. Is “ConnectBox WiFi” not the same as Cheerdriving?
