@Garkan
Oh, you have the latest Mazda. I have the previous generation and I installed the Mazda retrofit CarPlay kit to my cars myself. Sorry, no experience with the latest system.

Newer is not better in this case, haha. At least it works manually, fails 1st time, and 2nd time it connects.

Same. I have the older infotainment system in my 19. I do envy your screen though ?.

I have the Carlinkit v2 with the latest Mazda (Carlinkit firmware from March, I think) and it works almost flawlessly every time. I had an older Carlinkit with an older Mazda, and it never worked reliably.

I got the v3 and it has peoblems, lag and shuttering, maybe fake or broken.
Any new update on Carlinkit?

Regarding Mazda and the cheerdriving/podofo, I received a response from them saying the “Mazda head unit can't accept or process the different resolution from original screen, so it will cause the display green issue, I am afraid we can't solve the issue at the moment, it need firmware support can't solve via software upate, actually we can't make sure the mirroring works for all car screens.”

There goes any hopes of mirroring in my cx5. That’s what I bought it for in the first place. I was hoping to have an option for watching movies in the car.

Does anyone of you have experiences with reduced product power consumption and heat generation with the current version 30th August 2021?

I have a CarLinkit 2.0 (maybe 3.0?) and no matter what I do it refuses to fully work on my Sony XAV-AX5500, installed in a Corvette.

CarPlay works, but as soon as audio is played from ANYTHING the interface locks up.

Earlier firmwares would bootloop the headunit. Now at least CarPlay launches perfectly. But audio locks it up immediately.

Perhaps the podofo would work? The 13 pro max has insane battery life, I just don't need wired.

Any particular place I should buy the Podofo from?

Or perhaps somebody has any experience getting a wireless adapter to work on a Sony headunit?

This update has blocked the device, it is the second I purchase and honestly I am tired of having to throw it away because the firmware updating it can damage it without being able to restore it

Thanks! Will give it a go later :)
Updated the Podofo to the Mercedes specific firmware, it did nothing. The box does not light up on my Mercedes A-Class (type c). The same box connects to my Volvo XC90 so it looks like for some reasons it doesn't work with the type-c to type-c connection. I have tried multiple cables and none of them work.

Hello guys! I have a Chevrolet (GM) Onix Premier 2020 with wired Carplay and when I insert carlinkit 3.0 it works just the first time. On the next attempts it tries to start (black screen), but soon restarts.
Anyone with a similar problem in Chevrolet (GM)? Mainly on Onix and Tracker (Brazil) models.

If you want to try it buy it from Cheerdriving.
Pretty sure they're the ones that actually make and support it.
If it works you're golden but if it doesn't, Podofo wont offer any help at all and will fight you if you ask for a refund.

As far as I know, Low Data Mode in iOS does not affect WiFi performance. Rather it is used to constraint data hungry background tasks (e.g. photo syncing, auto update downloads) when on a paid hotspot that is typically charged per data usage or has a set data cap.
Incorrect: "With iOS 13 and later, you can turn on Low Data Mode to restrict background network use and save cellular and Wi-Fi usage."

I have USB-A in my 2021 C Class and it looks like the Mercedes-specific firmware has solved my every-second-time connects issue. Happy, not least because the Podofo is a smaller size than the CarLinkIt 2.0 so fits well in one cup holder. I am using a cable with right-angled plugs at both ends.

I stand by my statement. iOS 'Low Data Mode' has nothing to do with WiFi performance. It simply limits the amount of data consumed by certain tasks/apps, which is especially important when using data plan or hotspots with limited data plans.

Ironically, the Link you've provided said as much, "You might want to use Low Data Mode if your cellular or internet plan limits your data usage, or if you're in an area with slow data speeds."

Glad it worked for you! The podofo boots up and pairs to my iPhone much quicker than the carlinkit so I am very happy with it.

with the new 43.0.10 firmware I also tested Airplay for my Pododo. I can say: it works now perfectly! But you have to check the Wi-Fi connection and switch off the low-data mode.
