Now I borrowed the Carlinkit Adapter from two of my friends. One even has the new carbon look 3.0, one 3.0 glossy black.
So i actually test my old 2.0 glossy black, a new 3.0 glossy black and a new 3.0 carbon.
What I noticed is that my own (2.0 old green menu, which I flashed to red) has WPA connectivity. The new 3.0 Carbon also has WPA connection.
The new 3.0 glossy black has WPA2...
All are on the same firmware (2022.01.24) and all have the latest new menu.
All three have Realtek chip and Wifi5.
My old is manufactured 12.2020, the two new are 08.2021
The carbon works fantastical. After a few seconds the red menu will appear and after 25 seconds everything will be connected.
The new 3.0 glossy black sometimes takes 30/35 seconds, sometimes nothing happens after the red menu. Sometimes it also on after 25 seconds.
My old one is sometimes there after 25 seconds, sometimes I don't get a red menu and just a black screen. You don't know if it crashed or if something else is going to happen. But most time it also works good.
For me, the carbon model is the best because it works the most reliably. But there are not so many differences in my test samples.
What puzzles me is why one model has WPA2 and the other only WPA. Does that have advantages now?
My friends said they bought this directly from Amazon at the official Carlinkit store.
My Seat named the WPA "SEATEx" and the WPA2 "SEAT0x". I don't know why...
Sorry for my bad English
