Excellent work. Do you mind sending me a photo of the interface in the car?

The reason the above happened that you had so much difficulty with loading the official firmware on, was your loaded on the custom firmware as 2021.03.10 is custom, which meant that it wasn’t accepting the official version.

Can you please also send me the 1.24 system version firmware so I can have a look?

Probably. But to install the official version that they send me was my first attempt and, for some reason, never worked. I installed a custom firmware later, because it was the only thing that I could do.

Today appeared 2 new updates, when yesterday it said it was up to date. This are the 2 new updates I installed this morning 2022.05.17.1704 and later 2022.06.10.1430.

Oh, yes that UI was updated in 2022.01.24. I have a newer version 2022.06.17.1710

The boot loader is new. Can I please have that firmware file?

Hi nikkotsoi,

Thank you very much for your information.
Yes, my MX-5 is Japan. so my Mazda connect FW is 70.00.351 JP M
I have confirmed my CheerDriving Connect is 43.0.13.0.0.0.2.0-2.10.4, It is same with your ConnectBox.

but I found small difference between your box and my box. I believe it doesn't matter.

My CheerDriving is shown 43.0.13.0.0.0.2.0-2.10.4/ConnectBoxBt_Mazda,
and your CheeDriving is 43.0.13.0.0.0.2.0-2.10.4/ConnectBoxBt_Volkswagen.

I'm not sure this is a reason for my issue or not. but I still have issue for Bluetooth pairing phase. so I can't connect to CheerDriving.

If I have a chance, I would like to update for my Mazda Connect to 367 instead of 351.
yes i believe it is because i connect to a volkswagen before.
but this wont affect the result.
you can try update firmware yourself.

So none of my units have the black/green interface seen above, but I am running a Carlinkit 3.0 and 4.0 using the latest ota firmware. I posted a month ago that I ran the 3.0 for a long time without it crashing, but unfortunately I must have been mistaken. I drove from Austin to Houston and two times the device crashed as it has been known to do. Yesterday I used my car with the 4.0 for 120 minutes with no crash! Maybe the 4.0 is slower to connect but if it can be used on long drives without crashing that seems like a worthwhile use case.

After the latest update I have a new feature "theme update" below the "check update" button.
When I click on it there's a text field but what can I type in here? Is there some kind of list with supported themes?
I still have the old ui so nothing has changed there.

After what seemed an eternity my wish has come true.

Finally I have Wireless CarPlay working on my Mitsubishi MY20 Eclipse Cross using the Vrriis
Wireless CarPlay Adapter 3.1. It should also work on MY19 Eclipse Cross and below too.

I have also tested a BROxiongdi Wireless Adapter and it works too.

Once I updated the adapters to the latest June 2022 Update via 192.168.50.2 the Wireless adapter booted up and the setup Menu (red menu) showed on the Car Display head unit.

My iPhone asked to connect to the adapter via CarPlay and after 30 seconds or so it connected to the Eclipse Cross radio head unit.

I tested it with Phone calls, Siri and of course Maps & TomTom maps, all working.

I now have Wireless CarPlay & Wireless Charging working on a Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross.

Good afternoon! And where did you get the latest firmware? I can't beat Mitsubishi pajero (montero) sport 2019 in any way. I have the latest firmware 2022.06.17. 1317. Does not work.

Good Morning Oleg 123

Interesting that you have the latest firmware and it will not work for you.

Remember that the Eclipse Cross has a different radio head unit.

I have found a site that has it working on a 2022 Pajero. They have Youtube videos

See their web site for more details https://smartworldcompany.com

My observations are:-

  1. As I described in my post I updated via 192.168.50.2 and received the latest firmware available for my wireless adapters.
  2. I had previously connected and setup my wireless adapters on a supported vehicle. Kia, Nissan. Maybe that had something to do with it.
  3. The brand of Wireless Adapter may have something to do with it too.
  4. Very important - I changed the original Adapter’s Green UI to (Red UI) U2W_AUTOKIT_Update.img
Does your Adapter have the Green UI or the Red UI?

Hope you get your Wireless Adapter working too.

Does any one know how to make a Backup copy of the Firmware for their Wireless Adapter, just in case I need to reinstall.

The firmware was directly downloaded to my Adapter. Now I want to have a copy. I have not actually downloaded firmware to PC. The problem is that it is on my Adapter but I also want a copy to keep on USB. I can not find any download sites for firmware 2022.06.08.1109

Good afternoon Aliman12! Thanks for the video! Unfortunately, I have a different radio. The seller wrote that the cp-aa adapter probably won't work either if Carlinkit doesn't work.

Hi Oleg 123

Have you tried everything I listed earlier in my post.

Specifically using Firmware Version 2022.06.08.1109

Loading the red interface U2W_AUTOKIT_Update.img onto your Adapter

Then connecting your Adapter to a supported car.

By the way which adapter do you have exact model, there are so many Adapters.

Unfortunately it is trial and error to get it to work.

Sorry I could not be more help, but try the above suggestions and see how you go.

Sometimes I have issues with the Bluetooth pairing phase as well, disabling Bluetooth on the MZD might help.

You can also temporarily fix this by switching to the Airplay screen (tap the top right corner) and switch back to wireless carplay (tap the top left corner). The Bluetooth connection will be re-established.
Hi Perlnx

Thank you for your comment.

I have tried several time to switch to Airplay screen, then switch back to CarPlay. Unfortunately I couldn't connect bluetooth.
My suspicion is defect for my Cheerdriving, or different between MZD FW. (nikkotsoi's mx5 is 70.00.367 4AN, myself mx5 is 70.00.351 JP M)
So I would like to confirm with another Cheerdriving, if I have a chance.

Hi nikkotsoi

Thanks for your comment.
Yes, I also think it doesn't matter for BT name itself.

I'll ask to dealer to update MZD firmware since it is only available by dealer in case of Japan.

Good afternoon Aliman12! Carlinkit cpc200-u2w plus. Firmware 2022.06.08.1109. tried. Now there is a later firmware. 2022.06.17. 1317 also does not work. I keep fighting!)))
