i've tried but nothing to do...
reset both iPhone and CarLink Mini 3.0 (after update to 2022.12) but finger scroll stop to work on any Maps app (Waze, Google, Maps)

may be this firmware is not compatible with my head unit and touch control (Peugeot 3008 my21) :(
Did you try with Sync Mode turned on?

If still not working submit feedback with the issue. If you don’t report it they will never fix it as they will assume there is no bug

Does anyone have the same issue on Carlinkit 4.0?
We use it with iphone and android, as this dongle supports android auto and carplay. Whenever we use the same phone, everything works perfect, but when we are switching from android to iphone or vice versa, the screen freezes right after the connection has been established. Rebooting (unplugging and plugging back ik) fixes this and it will work well. Iphone to iphone and android to android gives no issues.

Obviously a bug in their firmware.

Report your findings via the Feedback tab so they can fix it for your vehicle.

I purchased the Carlinkit wireless activator for my Audi A4 with Factory wired carplay. Basically it is a WiFi to USB adaptor that uses Bluetooth to initiate the wireless CarPlay. I purchased it as the A4 comes with a wireless charging pad, but you still have to plug in for CarPlay. I paid around $126 for it. It does work, with a few caveats. Firstly, the text that initially appears when your phone is connecting is in chinese. Luckily my better half translated it for me. Secondly, the audio is scratchy for the first 10-20 seconds; then it works as you would expect. Also, on the Audi, the dash display shows “unknown“ for the track and artist (but the CarPlay display on the center display works just like wired CarPlay). Lastly, it was a bit of a pain to purchase. I had not used Alibaba to buy anything before, and it really was setup to be a business buying these things in bulk, not a one-off like me.

All-in-all, it was worth it; but I can only verify it working on an Audi (even though they mention other makes & models). Just don’t expect much in the way of good documentation. I was able to talk to the seller through WhatsApp, and they have been good so far with support, firmware, etc., but it is a very manual process.

Link to the one I got: https://www.alibaba.com/product-det...ctivator-module-Android-auto_62184751318.html
Tried your link. Thanks....but response was that it's no longer available

My use would be in a '22 Jeep Wrangler. I bought a CarlinKit 4.0 from Amazon...canada. I've returned it. In a 10 minute drive it will drop out 3 times.

I must have my hearing aids connected by bluetooth. And my phone is watched and managed by the Mothership....my employer. Supplier said it would not work, and authorized return.

I’ve sent feedback from web browser. It releases me a feedback code to send a sales person…. Is it necessary or no?

What DeanCorp was saying is to submit feedback from within the Adapters ui of 192.168.50.2.

The feedback goes straight to the developers who hopefully will fix the issue. By submitting via 192.168.50.2 it will have all your Adapters details including Car, Year, Type of Adapter etc.

Anyone on iOS 16.1.2 having hard freeze/crashes? My 3.0 running the 12/24 started even with less than 15 minutes driving. I had it happen on the 4.0 using the older fw too randomly less than 50 minutes driving. Starting to suspect my phone so I’m updating to 16.2

iPhone 14?

iPhone 14?
13 pro. The phone is always on a dash Mount when I’m driving and the dongles are always 2 feet away. They worked reliably once connected for a long time, but I had updated to newer firmware hoping for more consistent initial connection.

Try reset adapter in the advanced settings in 192.168.50.2 and a reset network settings on your iPhone.

Can you send me a dump from flash for v4.0 Carlinkit? Or any other solution the bring back to life my bricked dongle?

ok I did it on monday, let's see if in the next version will be fixed
You will have a version pushed to your device (usually before public release). If you send me the screenshot of your log you uploaded I could try fast track it for you.

ios 16.3 has just been released. I have installed Update on my iPhone and can confirm my Adapter is working perfectly.

I’m hoping it fixed a lot of these dongle stability dropout issues. Most people began complaining after 16.2 was released regardless of what firmware version they were running on their dongle.

Any tips on how to improve phone calls? Sometimes people can’t hear me well. They say my voice is too low. If I put the phone in speaker mode, no issues.

Not sure if it’s a car or carlinkit thing.

Car is a 2017 Mazda 3. Adapter is on the 2022.01.24.1914 FW which has been working well overall.
