I was thinking of getting one of these adapters now they seem to be working a lot better but I didn’t know they have to be activated. How often does that have to be done?I still cannot get it to activate. I've tried two cars and no luck. It just tells me it's not activated when I visit the website. I just got an email from Carlinkit stating they were on Chinese holiday. Ugh

Maybe you can try to use some VPN on your phone.I still cannot get it to activate. I've tried two cars and no luck. It just tells me it's not activated when I visit the website. I just got an email from Carlinkit stating they were on Chinese holiday. Ugh
2018 GMC Sierra. With today’s update The audio shuttering is repaired. steering wheel controls now work also!! Yeah yeah!!!!! Down to just the map volume not working like it does with text message or phone calls. It’s stuck on very low. I have downloaded Google maps that one doesn’t work either.

I had problem to connect to their update servers, after using a VPN I was able to connect.
Great advice-- I used VPN and when I connected it popped up stating there was an update available. It updated and then rebooted. Now it the SSID that it broadcasts matches what it displays! However now with this version it brings up a screen asking to activate and has options for high-end vehicle, batch number, username and password. How did you get past this screen? I tried multiple times and from VPN through multiple countries and no luck.
I had used VyperVPN USA-Chicago addressWhat VPN did you use? I’m running into the same issue where I’m stuck at “Product is not activated(20)”
At this point, it’s probably easier for me to sell my adapter than try and return it. I received my carplay2air adapter last week and unfortunately it appears it’s not compatible with my 2018 Honda Accord. The adapter still has the factory protective film over it. I’ll sell it for 100$ if anyone is looking to get one. PayPal only.
No. Customer service has been pretty much non existent regarding these issues.Have they said if they plan on getting it to work someday?
I bought a Carplay2air to use on my Canadian 2018 Mazda 6, the unit arrived and after a few intents I was able to pair my phone and the vehicle. Also I downloaded the latest software upgrade ver 2020.01.18.2149, but the problem is that the Carplay2air connects with my car randomly, for every 10 tries the dongle connected one or two times fine and it is usable (Music, Maps, Phone calls, etc).
The rest of the time just says “Apple Carplay Failed” on my car infotainment and never reach the Bluetooth connection page.
I removed all the phones paired with my cars’ Bluetooth. I rebooted my iPhone SE, the wifi and Bluetooth are "on".
Any suggestions on what else I could do to connect with my Mazda 6 on the first try, please?
Thanks,

Updated to the latest Mazda firmware? The latest update might or might not help?
Today's update fixed the steering wheel control issues for my Chevy Traverse. They now work properly! Unfortunately the unit still crashes after about 10 minutes running.
Wire my *******Please just use the wire.
Wire my as shole
works mint on my car. Mint I tells ya, mint...Bluetooth changes.
iOS changes.
Car Infotainment changes.
Third-party dongle changes.
Let’s see, 30 different iPhones, 13 different iOS’s, scores of different Bluetooth protocols, 50 different auto manufacturers making 1000 different cars, and all it takes is one update to any of those firmware or hardware variables for it to go all wrong.
I’ve done what you’re doing. It’s no good. The wire is the answer.

The Carlinkit team did tell me they're working on 2018 Accord support, but didn't give me an ETA...so guess we'll see!
