Got the exact same message, they should be sending out my replacement this week hopefully.

I have the silver and I still feel like there is quite a bit of flex. I think this is the sacrifice we make when using a hard case.

I don't think so. I have the silver and I have zero flex. Fits tight with no movement... and I've had mine on for at least a month now if not more. Growing into my all time favorite case. You should ask them for a replacement if you've got flex. Especially now that they've re-tooled.

From the wording of the email people are posting, my guess is they've adjusted the fit of the case to make it tighter overall. It wouldn't make sense to make an adjustment for just the "thinner" space gray and not the silver so logic would say that the revised replacement will fit just right on the "thinner" space gray and a little tighter than before on the silver. I'm tempted to ask if they can send me a replacement just to do a comparison, even though mine fits fine.

Yes, on the new version. People posted here that the're getting the micro-scratches around the bezel.

I honestly think that's more an issue with stainless steel. You could conceivably be better insulated with an Apple case that has the microfiber interior. But, there are people on here with other "tpu" cases that have reported scratched bezels too. The silver iPhones are just simply scratch magnets.

I've been using the case and could see a few tiny scratches, but I had to look hard and I'm not even sure what that was from. Tried out the cape cod cloth and the scratches are totally gone. Took me all of 10 minutes. Even though stainless steel scratches easier, I think I prefer it to aluminum for this reason alone. I'm looking at a Series 0 Apple Watch on my desk that still has an ugly scratch across the side that obviously can't be polished out.

Has anyone dropped their iPhone X with the Caudabe Lucid Clear on it? Did the phone survive? Did the case survive? We are all coming up on the end of our 60 day AppleCare+ window...

I got the notification and communicated with Caudabe, the new revised versions are in. If you want to pick one up now, its the time!

To be honest, I've had no problems with mine (knock on wood), both in terms of fit and it scratching the phone when taking it off. I take it off once a week to clean it.

I ordered the Lucid Clear case last week. I was told by Caudabe Support that I'm receiving the new version.
It's the best clear case for iPhone X in terms of the material and design.
I prefer the buttons are cutout, love the feeling of pressing the real buttons (most clear case they're covered).
I have the black Sheath case but Lucid Clear is my favorite case.
I'm still getting used to the smudges and micro scratches on the case (thank god NOT on iPhone X).

What was changed to Lucid Clear?
Based on Caudabe's own investigations since the iPhone X launched, they've discovered that the space gray iPhone X is slightly thinner than the silver iPhone X. They menionted the difference is so minute that Apple doesn’t officially announce it but the difference is definitely there. They've made slight adjustments to their tooling and the new batches are now shipping. Hope this helps! :)

I can attest. Had the original lucid clear from before iPhone X launch day. I received an email from Caudabe support asking how I liked it about 2 weeks ago. I told them it looks terrific but I have some creaking when I squeeze it, especially on one side. They sent me a new one no questions asked and it is without a doubt a more snug fit. A perfect fit. And it feels a tad sleeker. It feels right. Still slick as hell but a case that does the X justice in showing it off. Best case on the market. I’ve tried a few others, Torras, Caseology, and Apple leather. Returned all the others.

That's strange, I've been emailing them over the past month and they keep insisting they will reach out to me when an updated version is released. Not sure why they are lying to me, unsure of what to do next.

Hi,

Thanks for checking in. Really glad to hear you like your Lucid Clear. No updates at the moment, although the latest plans we've been privy to show an extremely minor adjustment to just a couple of points on the case. Both the look and the effect will be barely noticeable. The design team wanted to preserve the near-invisible feel and look of Lucid Clear so any changes will be very minimal. There's still no ETD on the revision right now, but we'd be happy to keep you posted. And the offer for a replacement product in lieu of a revised Lucid Clear still stands!

I don't believe Caudabe is lying to you. Not sure how they keep track of people they need to contact for the revised version. I'd email support@caudabe.com again and remind them that you're still waiting for the revised Lucid Clear. It should be no problem sending one to you. I noticed it was Charlotte from Caudabe Support that responded. She's very nice and informative!

I ordered and received the Lucid Clear yesterday after reading a lot of recommendations on this thread, however I wasn't as happy with that case as I had been with their Veil XT and Sheath cases.

Maybe I'm just not a 'clear case' kinda guy as I found the case to be far too slippery for my liking and the case had a lot of hard edges. The case is a huge fingerprint magnet too and I also suffered from one of the sides creaking whenever I handled the phone.

I reached out to their support team (who were fantastic as always) and they offered me a replacement with no questions asked (besides my postal address). I Kindly asked them if they could send me a Veil XT in red instead (I already have it in black) and they were only too happy to oblige.

As with @rperalta, I was speaking with Charlotte who was very helpful.

Now if only they could have a UK-based store or sell it on Amazon.co.uk over here and I'd be so happy!

I'm not a 'clear case' person too before. I was hook when I put on the lucid Clear case. The material is so different (thermoplastic polymer used in bulletproof glass), flexible, and crystal clear. It's slippery, it collects smudges and micro scratches on the case (NOT on iPhone). With all the cases I bought for my iPhone X, I ended up with the Lucid Clear case. I love the fact that I can see clearly my space gray iPhone X and the open buttons cutout. It makes it feel like there's no case because you'r actually pressing the real buttons.

Somehow agreed. The Sheath is a great case And provides a good hand-grip compared to the lucid clear. But again they don’t serve the same purpose and u cannot get a better handgrip on a clear case unless u add a froasted texture that would ruin the main purpose of having a clear case

I was a totally a die hard fan of Veil XT as I bought for each generation of iPhone. I wasn't sure of the Lucid Clear so I bought a black Sheath case first for my space gray iPhone X. I like it a lot because it's a tad thicker than Veil XT with drop protection. And then I realized I was COVERING the beautiful design of the iPhone X. With Lucid Clear, I can see the entire iPhone...the wireless back glass, curves, Apple logo and markings on the back. It's worth it!

For space gray iPhone X owners, have you noticed any scratches on the iPhone when you took off the Lucid Clear case? Some mentioned it does on the chrome part of the silver iPhone X. Not sure for space gray. I'm sure Caudabe have tested this case before they went into production. Thanks!

Pretty much this. They're just different cases. Both great, but they serve different purposes. I have both and use the Sheath most of the time now. Apart from not being clear, it's the best case I've used hands down. It's basically a worry free case. When I want to switch it up, I snap the Lucid Clear back on. Also a great case in its own right, just different. It's more of a looks vs grip/protection debate (although I think the Sheath looks great too).
