They need to come out with 2 iPhones and this would be the iPhone Pro. I would buy it for sure. Not for $1000 but I could see $400 being the price.

you know the current ones start at $649 right?...unless you are signing a new contract or subsidized

Yes I was referring to the upgrade prices. 1000 might be accurate for no contract. I was just saying I wouldn't pay that much but I would buy one for 400 on an upgrade. That was my bad, I probably should have been clearer in my first post.

I really don't get why they haven't come out with an iPhone Pro yet. I think people who want a bigger screen (width and height) would pay a higher price for a model that is a step above the regular iPhone. I thought they were going to do this last year with the 4s and the 5 but we only got the 4s. Hopefully we can get 2 phones this year so people can pick the right size for them.

All these pictures of a new designed larger iPhone, but still is the same outdated and boring iOS. Who cares if it is thinner, and 4" screen, and the phone itself looks really cool, but the OS itself is still a home screen with the app drawer left open

They need to redo iOS and have a new phone design to be truly fresh and new again. The same icons from 2007  The same Fischer Price toy theme throughout the iOS  How about have the weather app icon, truly show today's weather, instead of 73 and sunny, even if it is Winter time.

I have to give Microsoft some credit for trying to be fresh and original with their Flipboard style OS, at least it's something new. Or The Android Nexus series being totally brand new and completely different each year. But the iPhone OS, overall still looks and feels like it is from 2007.

Some recent internal images of iPhone prototypes have gone public and we can draw some insight into the next iPhone leaks that have been floating around.

If they just make the screen longer, it will be a complete downer. 16:9 ratio is nice for movies but who watches movies on their iPhones?
I do; it is one of my primary uses. Granted, my uses may not be "the norm." I wouldn't mind a wider screen, as long as they maintain a 16:9 ratio.

The most common task on iPhone is reading/looking at information in portrait orientation and we would benefit much more from a wider screen.
To you, perhaps. The most common tasks on the iPhone for me are watching videos, listening to music, and, um, using the iPhone as a phone.

Theory A: Apple let an previous prototype leak out to throw people off the new design.
Theory B: Apple is using a previous prototype in the next iPhone and it leaked.

Evolution of the "two tone" design?

Here is a prototype iPad to go alone with a prototype iPhone. Look familiar?

My god, that is the most beautiful thing I've ever seen.

There is absolutely no reason that this design couldn't be possible, with the aluminum unibody, widget toggle and all. Who wouldn't be pleased with that? If you don't want to use data on widgets, simply disable them and you have a 5th row of icons. Perfection.

I find it interesting how if Samsung or HTC rehashes a similar design to create versions of the same looking device with just the slightest variations, they're unoriginal.

But if Apple does it -- and does it over the course of two years -- y'all seem perfectly fine with it.

I'm not saying the next gen iPhone needs to be drastically different, but it's just interesting how quick iOS devotees are willing to accept the rumored leaks from the world's most innovative tech company.

And then to be with that design for presumably the next two years...

LOL,...dude that iPad & iPhone are early prototypes before the first ones came out and are being used for court evidence so they had to release those photos. Here is that proof so all i have to say is maybe you all are being juped into thinking what the newset iPhone is going to look like by all those recent photos because like you said, ....it looks very familiar.

To darn thin. What about battery life ? Or lack of, since Apple and no one else has introduced a very long life thin battery.
Too thin? You said that like its a bad thing..
They will probably introduce a stronger thinner battery in the 5 alone with some new tech that uses less energy.

I can see iPhone 5 being that thin & having 20 hr battery life.
