Yes. 32 gab ipad 2 gonna pick up another 32 gb ipad 2 (mini, get it? Cos it's the same thing inside!)

Also, this entire forum seems like a bunch of rich people crying about their first world problems. "I want an ipad mini, but runs tech from 2010!" Christ, because you "need" that A6X processor right? Because that extra 3 seconds of waiting for a web page to cache while scrolling will kill you. Get off your high horse, you were using the ipad 2 just fine a year ago and you weren't dying because of those load times.

May just upgrade my iPad 2 to the 4th gen. No need to get a smaller iPad that does everything my huge screen does

Yes. My husband recently started getting into iOS games on his iPhone and he wants a bigger screen, so the third gen iPad is going to him when I get the mini.

Temped, ill have a go on one in an apple store and make my mind up though.

That nexus 7 with its £159 price tag will always be a bigger temptation though.

Supplement?

I think the idea of supplementation is crazy. For people who have an iPad3 and are happy with the screen size they're either gonna stay with a 3 or move on to a 4. People who were always hoping for a 7" iPad are likely to switch simply because they can afford to.

I'm at a crossroads myself as to what I will do.

I may get a 3G model in the future, but 99% of me says "absolutely not." I'm sure I can get hotspot for my iPhone 5 if I need to, and I'm already pissed that my 6 month old "the New iPad" is already obsolete. I think for the first time, I'm just sticking to what I have. I'd much rather take that money and get a Wii U.

I already have an AT&T LTE 16GB iPad 3 so no, not at this time. But the price point has me a bit intrigued. I was hoping for a $299 price tag but will have to live with the $329 I guess. When the iPad mini is comparable to the iPad 3 I have already then I will get one. So probably next years model. I don't want to take a step backwards in resolution or hardware horsepower. So the answer is yes, but I will wait for a future model.

No, I'm used to 9.7 retina display, I would never even think about switching 3rd gen iPad for mini, for me it doesn't make sense. Small screen without retina, this doesn't fit my needs, I'm using my iPad to watch movies/TV series a lot, so that's why :)

I'll wait for the 2nd gen. 1st gen stuff seem to have problems. I also can't take non-retina displays. My eyes are used to them. ;)

Well I think its more logical to get a Nexus 7 or an Android 7 in.

I really don't see who would want a Mini, if they already have an iPad. In my head I can just see people sitting at their couch with an iPhone 5, iPad Mini and iPad 3.

Firstly, the new cycle of iPads means there's going to be a fanfare of iPads bought and sold. Duh.

The iPad mini is for people who will use the iPad in more mobile situations - not the classic iPad-on-desk scenario. Why do you think Apple went to the trouble of making it one-hand friendly? It's for people who browse on the couch aimlessly or the late night news fiends. :)

A small percentage will get both but most people will make one decision dependant on what kind of size and features they want.

Pretty much the only people who would drink Diet Coke is Coke drinkers. So all they are going to do is cut into their own profits. Yea Diet Pepsi is doing great, but why copy them, when your Tab Soda aka "iPad3" is on top?!?

Apple doesn't care so long as they sell either can of drink and maintain their profit margin.

I was seriously considering either the mini or a Nexus 7. I have an iPad 2 and an iPod touch 4g. I have heard you can put a N7 in your coat pocket , however, I am now thinking I'll stick with the iPad and touch combo for the following reasons:

1. The mini is .6" wider than the N7 , so it might be an ask to fit it into a coat pocket

2. I don't carry a bag ever and I dont wear a coat in summer , so a small tablet would be useless to me. On the other hand , the touch can go everywhere with me in any season - no need for a coat or bag

3. At home I prefer to use the iPad due to its decent size screen, same in the car . So I wouldn't use the mini at home or in the car

So basically I'd never use a small tablet. The geek in me wants one, but I know I'd never use it. If I did buy one just to satisfy a geek need, it would definitely be the N7 due cost. Easier to convince yourself to spend $200 on something you don't need than $330 lol

Upgrading from the original iPad and I just can't seem to make up my mind, really want the 32 GB Wifi Mini, but then the new iPad looks really good too... I do a lot of reading on the iPad and thought the iPad Mini might fit better in my bag, but now I am not sure which one to get :(

Yes, currently own a 16GB Retina.

The form factor for the mini looks ideal, can't wait

My son has Autism and the iPad has been instrumental in his learning, but sometimes the size is a bit much for him (he's 5). The iPad mini is a no-brainer, and I will not hesistate to spend the premium price for a 64GB model with 4G, we have already spent more than what a new iPad costs on his learning and communications apps. Worth every penny to me if it helps my son!

Nah. Between my iPad 3rd gen and my iPhone 5, I'm covered. I don't want to give up either of these and adding the mini would just be overkill IMO.

I listed mine on ebay last night. I have a 32gb AT&T black iPad 2. Listed it with four smart covers and the charging stand. I really love my ipad 2, use it 5 hours a day, but I would like a smalled ipad to put in my jacket pocket. I go to Universal, Disney, and Seaworld a lot and this is great for me. I want LTE like my i5 and Siri. I had an iPad 3 and returned it. It felt heavier and thicker to me and the screen had a lot of conformity issues. The 1024x768 is fine with me. The only thing, and I mean the only thing I don't like is the price. It should have been $299. Just for the simple fact that it looks more attractive to people. But, oh well you can't win them all.

Yes.

Have iPad 2 32GB but finding it too big for getting out to use on the train when commuting. iPhone 4 is a bit too small but have been using it instead.

Will get the mini and have the iPad 2 at home as the family iPad.
It will be my kindle/notebook/games device.

I'm wondering if I even need an iPhone anymore, certainly not going to upgrade until it breaks or iPhone 4 stops being supported. My iPhone usage will drop dramatically.

I'm thinking about it, it would actually be an upgrade spec wise for me since I have an original ipad. I would sell the original though, I don't need 2 ipads (realistically I don't need 1 ipad)

Yup - I've been waiting for a smaller ipad for a while.

The way I see it, I can get an Kindle Paperwhite for 140 (non ad version) or I can get the iPad mini for 329 - a difference of 189. For 189, I get a tablet that has more power, flexibility and options. The downside is that kindle e-ink is better for reading but I don't mind reading on my iPad 1 now though the kindle is better at that to be sure.

I have the iPad 3.

I'm buying the Mini... if I don't like it I'll just do a giveaway to my YouTube subscribers...
