The wife’s iPhone 6S has been doing this all morning, she was on 11.1.1 as it was asking her to update to 11.1.2

I have now installed the 11.2 beta profile and hope that fixes it for her, my 6S+ on 11.2 Beta 6 so far *touch wood* has been unaffected.

I started having this problem and updated to 11.1.2 in the hope it would fix. So think the issue was present in 11.1.1.

You can disable the ALL notification and back ground refresh for the time being. This fix works. This is also suggested by Apple Store Support here in Highpoint Australia.

First 1977 UNIX fix, and now this...

I like the temp solution If u dunno which apps are affected, go to the root source and muck up all your reminders

lol.. At least its only for 24 hours.

I am reluctant upgrading to 11.2 unless I see real problems. Is that bad strategy? They obviously released earlier than they hope to....

I am new to this forum and i haven' t searched it yet. For the time the only solution i have is to close my iphone :(
Nothing to really search as most of it got discussed in this thread. At this point iOS 11.2 has just been released most likely to deal with this (along with all the other things that are coming with iOS 11.2).

Well, it seems that the beta they released today was meant to be the public release. Typically they would give it more time to soak and probably release it publicly within a week or so of that last beta. In this case it sounds like today's issue got them to do it earlier, but still with a version that seemingly was the same one they were going to release anyway.

Installing/downloading with a constantly restarting phone should be fun.

Also, as above, none of the fixes helped me.
Oh.. The only thing I can think off is to disable all notifications and quicky go to airplane mode then install the update using itunes... But the full installer is not availlable though.

I never thought I would say it but Craig Federighi needs to be fired over the continual IOS and MacOS problems. Tim can't continue to stick his head in the ground and pretend this issue will go away.
That’s like saying your kid ought to be spanked for scoring only 98 on a test instead of 100.

Mistakes were made and will be rectified and life goes on.

Started around midnight for me, eventually found this thread. Switched back date, which kept my 6S on for long enough to be able to download iOS 11.2. Will hopefully fix this.
