Well...my order kinda just changed. I had a 1 in each backorder category. Now only the FRT is backordered, no longer the phone.

I ordered mine Sunday 11am, 16gb white. Now 24 hours later I checked the ATT order status page, but the thing tells me that there is no order. Check by order# and phone#. I see that me card has been charged, but no email. Customer service tells me that the phone is back ordered. I still can't check online. Att just needs to give up the info.

Use the zipcode for the store rather than your own.

I ordered on Saturday morning, and I have not received anything. No order number, no confirmation email, absolutely nothing....Except for a store employee who said "we'll call you when it's here".....Should I be worried?

Same here for my black 16gb, but my wife's 8gb is still listed as back ordered.
 
Good News for DF Orders

Just got on the phone with my local AT&T store here in Sacramento. They told me they aren't receiving any new shipments of iPhones for 3-4 weeks and I could pre-order one in the store.

I told him I pre-ordered one on Friday and he said it should be getting there by the end of this week. Hopefully that means its shipping either today or later this week.

they took my phone number "just in case something happens so we here at the store can get a hold of you."

but they took my email address and att's iCare has emailed me twice. the first was an order acknowledgment the same day i placed the df. the second one was the next morning telling me it's back ordered.

it includes an order number that you can track on their website. i saw mine be removed from back order a couple hours ago...

do u have an order number on your receipt? if not, call them and ask for your order number. 877-782-8870

I ordered two yesterday about 2:00 pm. I received an order confirmation last night at 9:48 pm. My status was showing backordered this morning, now there's "0" in the B/O place for the phone and the FRT shows B/O.

I think you should have at least received an order confirmation email. Do you have your receipt?

I have an Order ID on my receipt but putting that into the order status page with the Zip of the store it's going to only sends me to my account page, and really doesn't take me anywhere. I called a number and managed to get an automated response that said it's "Backordered"...

well if u have an order id then u should feel safe.

btw, with that order status website, after you fill in the zip, make sure you *click* on the 'submit' button. if i hit return/enter (using firefox) it doesn't submit, it instead links me over to att's home page.

That's what was happening! Thanks a lot. I probably never would have figured that out...

Alright, The FRT catergory has a 1 under backordered, and the PHONE has a 0 under backordered.
 
I just placed an order with att store in town.

The stupid lady rang it up under a different cell number and name! what an idiot.

she then rewrote my name/phone number on the reciept that ATT uses to call customers. Im going to call on friday of this week and make sure everything is the way it should be. It still says my name on the "SHIP TO" name.

what all are you guys putting in order checker? my order number starts with a "W' and is called Order ID, but doesnt work with either area zipcode.
 
my second order's status has been jumping back and forth all day long. Its now back to back ordered but Im sure it will change back again.
 
mine now says shipped. 2 of DF orders completed today.

Phone 1: DF 8:15AM PT 7/11
Phone 2: DF 10:00AM PT 7/11

Phone 1: Marked Shipped 7:15AM PT
Phone 2: Marked Shipped 1:54PM PT

Yea, as is mine. I'm just worried from hearing from people that theirs has switched back to backordered.
 
Half hour later and mine is backordered again. So strange how it bounces back and forth. This is like the 4th time it changed today.
