Did you order to have one shipped @ ATT store?

I ordered Friday about 11am-Noon MST. Got the White iPhone. And mine was listed Backordered a half hour before it showed as shipped.
I don't think Backordered here means what people assume.
Mine as well. I ordered (16GB White) Saturday morning, around 9:30 am EST. Flipped back and forth and late this afternoon it moved from not back ordered to back ordered and has been that way all evening.
anyone else having issues checking order status on att. I also went to the store today to see what the deal was with my phones. Now this guy is saying 2 weeks. I was like what the hell....thats not what yall said to me friday when I PAID for the phones.
I hope so, and great choice on the white, that is what I decided upon too. I was using a friends 16GB Black today and while great it made me feel I made the best decision on the white.
When did he order the 8GB black and what state is he located in? Just curious to see if mine will ship soon.
Remember way, way, way back to last week when tech writers were attempting to downplay the iPhone 3G launch? I remember reading a more than a couple preview stories about how this 3G was "less revolutionary" than the original iPhone (perhaps true but irrelevant) and how there weren't going to be huge lines or supply shortages. Boy those were good times.
Same situation here. Phone was not backordered all day until about 2 hrs ago. Now I have a 1 in both backordered slots. Check your credit card. AT&T said they would not charge the card until it shipped (Yeah Right they already got the cash)

I really hope that guy doesn't know what he's talking about. I was told 3-5 business days when I ordered on Friday, so I'm trying to wait as patiently as I can until Friday, but after that I will not be too patient. I know that its just a phone but I really hate waiting for thingsI'm not sure the order number means anything. I thought it was the number from each store, but I can't imagine people ordering early on Friday and having over 6,000 people in front of them.

There hasn't been any change to my order status today. I decided to copy my order number then add and subtract from it in order to check the status of other orders at my store. It appears that there were 72 direct fulfillment orders placed at my store(Highest order number 154623, lowest 154551). I checked about 20 of them including a bunch that were placed before mine and all of them were still listed as back ordered. I don't understand how even the first order placed at my store is still back ordered.
Looks like those of us in California will have to wait until tomorrow for ours to ship. I'm hoping it'll ship soon!
Friday around 10:00am eastern in Virginia for 16GB black. Mine still says backordered (order status is "In Progress" and has been that way the whole time) and I have seen absolutely no switching back and forth. Really depressing.

Yeah 2 weeks I was like are you kidding me. I keep checking to order status website and mine says backordered. I talked to an att phone rep today and he said that those that ordered friday were having theirs SHIPPED monday doesnt mean that they get them monday. Those that ordered Saturday were having theirs shipped tuesday and those that shipped after those 2 days were going to have to wait at least a week.
I just don't think these people really know what they are talking about so they make crap up. I ordered mine on Friday 12:30pm EDT and it didn't ship today so there goes this that AT&T rep's theory. Sometimes I wish people would just say...."sorry I don't have the information and do not know how to get it" instead of lying about it.

That's just great! i ordered mine sunday 1030 and was told that I would get it saturday the latest and that they only received shipments Tue-Thu-Sat. I can't wait another week the whole back and forth of being backordered and not will drive me CRAZY!
