Did you order to have one shipped @ ATT store?

I posted this in a few other related threads, I'm just trying to ease everyone's mind

Friday 1PM ET: Ordered Black 16GB on DF
Friday 5:30PM: Order Confirmation email arrived status on AT&T said FRT 1 backorder and phone no backorder
Saturday 5:59AM: Out of Stock/Backordered email and online status had both FRT and phone backordered
I did not check my status as frequently as it seems that some did but the phone backorder status did change 2 times that I noticed throughout Saturday and Sunday.
Monday: Online Status was backordered for both most of day
Monday 9PM: last time I checked and both were backordered.
Tuesday 9AM: Checked status and it was shipped.
Tracking number indicates that it left warehouse around 6:30PM last night and will arrive at my local store by 3pm today.
The point is that the online tracking is not really that up to date with your actual status. If it says backordered it may already be shipped.

BTW, I still have not received any shipping notification email.
Update: Just got shipping notification email at 10:25AM

I just tried 3 orders before mine. Shows SHIPPED. Lucky s***
I wonder what he ordered.

edit: just tried order before me. backordered.
 
I looked at the beginning orders from my store. Only 1 person in the first 20 has one shipped. I'm around 70th & we ordered Friday night (8 gig). I don't know if everyone ordered an 8 gig but damn, our store seems to be getting screwed.

I just got a confirmation email today [ordered saturday].

I had called the at&t number on my receipt yesterday and a lady told me it was shipping monday[yesterday] and I should have it today. After seeing it still backordered online, I called them again just now. She said the latest I should have it is Thursday.
 
My order said back ordered until 9:30 am eastern this morning.... but just checked again before I left for work at 10:40 and it was updated to shipped... it left yesterday afternoon from Memphis to Charlotte and will be at the att store by 3 :00 so after work... iPhone!

I did the same on Saturday. I called the 800 number and the rep I spoke with said the phones were to come in on Sunday and I should get a call Monday. Obviously that has not happened since I am still waiting for my phone.

FYI. One of my local Apple stores showed iPhones in stock yesterday. So I went there mid day, figured after the line. Out of iPhones. Sorry.

Then I check last night 1 second after 9pm. It showed in stock of all models, while all other Apple stores in the state were out of stock. Stores close at 9pm so you wouldn't have thought they'd sell any. 10pm I look again and now it reported out of stock of the 16gb black, but in stock of the other two models.

So I run down to that Apple store this morning at 9:50am (they open at 10) to be greeted by a line of 60 people! Geez. Employee comes out at 10am and says they don't have any!

Hmm. Looks like Apple's inventory is just as screwed up as AT&T.

Meanwhile, while we're standing in line, there's a giant FedEx truck brimming with Apple stuff being unloaded. But the manager dude says that they have to check everything in before they can sell it and it will take hours. Try back around 1pm. Hmmm. How desperate am I...
 
only one of my 8gb phones shipped last night! Its a problem because its a 2hour drive for me and not worth two trips. The one that shipped says At dest sort facility , does that mean I will be getting a call today?

Yeah I'm beg. to get frustrated. I'll give it to the end of the week.
 
I think it's somewhat frustrating that people who ordered the same model AFTER I did have already had theirs shipped, but mine is still backordered...
 
Not much rhyme or reason in orders from my AT&T store

It looks like 13 phones were ordered on Friday. They really are not coming in as ordered. I understand that could be due to the limit availability of certain models. I would be pissed if I was 6343 :).

6342 - Shipped
6343 - In Process
6344 - Shipped
6346 and 47 - In Progress
6348 - Shipped
6349 - 60 - In Progress.
 
I ordered my black 16GB Saturday @ 12 PM EST. For some reason, it still says that my order cannot be found. Does this mean it hasn't even been processed yet? I called AT&T yesterday and the lady told me she couldn't find any info on my order either, but it just meant that it hadn't shipped yet and could take 7-10 days. I got priority shipping too. What's the deal?

Cluster****, ho!

To me is seems like there is a big rotating drum at the ATT warehouses and they just pluck orders out at random to fill.

I'm sure there is a rhyme and reason to their madness but it is still annoying an all accounts

I am in the same boat. I ordered my iPhone on Friday around 11am ET because they only had 1 iPhone left and it was the 8gb model.

I also got suckered into paying for the expedited shipping.
 
did anyone hear about whether att shops in NYC did get shipments today?
(am thinking of going there and cancelling my DF if they have phones in the store...)
I have been waiting for this phone since April and now I am getting very nervoussssssss............
 
I wish I was lucky to get to see the status of my phone. I have tried the last 5 numbers of my order #, and the wireless number. I use the zip for the store, but each time I get this "We're sorry, but the information you entered was not recognized by our systems. Your order may not yet be available or the information may have been entered incorrectly. Please try again." I wish this thing worked for me.

Didn't work for me until I used the Work/Home Contact number I gave them, along with the store's zip code.
 
I can't seem to do the "look at people in front of you trick" with my confirmation number. It's got numbers and letters in the following format (I'll use "N" for number and "L" for letter instead of giving you my actual number):

LLLNNNLNNLLLL

I've tried playing around with the digits where they appear with no luck. Any suggestions?

I've tried that too, nothing works.... I have not even received an email about the order. I ordered it Sunday am.

Check the status of your order using that and once you get to the next page there should be an all numerical number under your name. Use that and -1 from it to check the status of orders before you.

Just enter the last 5 digits of your number and the zip code for the store you ordered from. if you want to look at previous orders, just enter a number below yours - e.g. - 55555 is your number, to see a previous order enter 55554 and so on.
 
I look like the odd man out at my store. The 5 orders ahead of mine have all shipped and I'm stuck in backordered hell. This sucks.
