Did you order to have one shipped @ ATT store?

So I decided to do a little investigating and used mitch's approach on checking other orders placed from my local store.

12 people have received their phones, all with higher order numbers than me. I was told by the employee that I was the third person to use DF from their store and now found out that I'm 10th.

I'm glad I've made the switch from Alltel to AT&T. GREAT START!!!!

My 8GB iPhone's order status is going crazy today. Switching between Back ordered and not back ordered about every 10-15 minutes. What in the world is going on with the garbage?

More than half of the people with higher order numbers than me received their phones already, and a few people that ordered on Saturday even got their phone before me!

My phone has been switching between backordered and not backordered all day today. And it's getting kinda annoying! Just changed to SHIPPED and make my day AT&T!!

It looks to me that from my store, that the 8GB has flipped back and forth from back ordered to not back ordered quite a few times, the white 16GB has stayed on not back ordered and the black 16GB has stayed on back order.

I would say that's a fair assessment, especially after looking at what is going on at my store. Unfortunately I am one of the Black 16Gb phones.

That makes sense. From what I've heard the 16GB black model was the one with the least stock that was the most popular choice so I suspect we won't see them until more are manufactured.

I did the DF, but it's ironic that every time I call the local apple store, they have them in stock. Now I planed on a family plan and I know I can only accomplish 2/3rds of it at an apple store, I'd have to run to AT&T afterwards to pick up the wifes phone. I'm think I should just do that and no wait out for DF. Orders after mine have shipped and they're the same damn phone I ordered. Seems apple has somewhat abandoned AT&T in respect to supply.

another lurker here. thought I would put my 2 cents in.

I ordered a white 16gig on Saturday at about 1:00pm where I was told the "7-10 days but maybe sooner" line.
Mine did the flip-flopping and since Tuesday morning its been on backorder. No change.

I checked out the program that someone posted and after looking at about 40 orders showed that only 7 people have had theirs shipped.

I am getting really antsy because today was the last day I could go get mine before I go out of town for the weekend. So knowing me, I will be upset if it shows up tomorrow and I cant go get it till Monday.
But hey at least it will be in.

I don't think we're waiting on manufacturing for the Black 16Gb, just a shipment from Apple. Black 16Gb are going, out albeit very slowly.

Agreed, I'm reading all on this sight about people still walking into the "Brick & Mortar" stores and picking them up.

That, I think is what is most annoying to me. AT&T is no great shakes, but Apple still holds the key to all the supply.

8GB ordered Monday at around 15:00 in long beach, ca. There are quite a few Apple stores close to my location, but I don't think I really want to waste my time waiting in line to *maybe* get a 8GB.

wonder if AT&T is going to stand by us who ordered before the 15th and get us shipped out in 7-10 business days...

oh and like everyone else mine has been changing between 0 and 1 on the PHONE backorder column, but seems locked into 0 for most of the day.

If it ships tomorrow, you should have it by Saturday, if not, Monday.

EDIT: I'm entering in the info for my store but it keeps coming up that they there are no orders???

I got mine!!!

Ordered my 16gb white on sunday afternoon and just came in today. All orders are standard overnight. Goodluck everybody
