Did you order to have one shipped @ ATT store?

i did this on Monday thinking it was my only hope, until today when I called a local Apple store and they told me they only had 16GB Black ones and they would last 2 hrs tops...I lucked out...waited about 15 minutes and was out of the store in 45...now I need to cancel with AT&T tomorrow:)

Also, does anyone know if DF orders are going to be in stores on saturday/sunday? Or if mine ships tomorrow, will I have to wait til' monday.

So then can you confirm for 100% that you can purchase an iPhone from the Apple store even with a pending DF order?

Did you purchase the exact style that you had ordered with your DF?

You ordered SUNDAY and you got it?? I ordered white saturday and it didnt even ship, and I know there are plenty of people who didnt get one yet who ordred FRIDAY. This system is complete bs. Glad you got your tho, enjoy it!

yes mine were 16GB Black...yes you can cancel..even the guy at the AT&T store told me I could..you have to go in person though.
 
This is seriously getting rediculous. I ordered a black 16GB on friday at 11:10am CST. I have PROOF that people behind me in line (over an hour and 13+ orders behind) have recieved their 16GB black iphones, yet mine has yet to even ship! There is no excuse for this. Anyone else in this boat with me? I am EXTREMELY unhappy with the way these orders are being processed.
 
Over the past two days 3 phones have been shipped. One yesterday, and two today. I'm now number 8, at this rate it will be another 4 days at least. This blows. Yes, I ordered a 16gb black. I think what makes me mad the most is I've been using a mostly broken Treo 655p with sprint for almost three weeks, and when my fiancee had a severe allergic reaction on Saturday night and I COULDN'T call 911 i flipped the **** out. So part of me wants it because it will be an amazing phone, and a bigger part of me wants it because it will work. Hope some more people get theirs today! Good luck!

I agree. I'm about to take my laptop to a store with that program showing how everyone around me goes out and I dont!!
 
I ordered friday at 10am! And mine keeps going back and forth from 1 to 0 on both frt and phone. I'm getting really pissed because people that ordered saturday and sunday are already getting there's! Also the people at my att store told me it will be in by the end of the week so hopefully tomorrow it wil be in. Seeing is that I ordered on friday.
 
I called the AT&T store that I did DF through and they said they still have not gotten a shipment since the one they got on Friday, so NO ONE is getting it before me because they've gotten none. BUT...if they get a shipment tomorrow, I still have to wait for mine. They won't fill any DFs out of their stock and cancel them or anything. BS

I was told by a store here that they weren't filling any walk-ins until all of their DF were filled...

It'd be pretty damn sad if they (your store) sold ANY to walk-ins before filling their DF
 
So I just talked to a bunch of different AT&T reps, and one of them told me that all DF orders would take 10-20 days. Seriously?

I was the first to order mine on friday EST and mine has switched way too many time to count from backorder to not.

Well. I asked both the guy at the store AND the people at the call center when I called to check my status if they got a shipment RIGHT NOW, if someone who walked in would get theirs and I could still be waiting for mine and they confirmed that that IS the case. They will NOT fill my order out of any stock that comes in that does not have my name on it. Granted, that all may come in on the same shipment, but if they get stock today, I still don't get my phone till they get the box that says "Mac'inmama" on it.
 
You think Apple woulda just made a ton iPhones before launch....or maybe not have a same day worldwide release.

I've decided to stop checking my status page every two minutes and just organize my music and find album art for albums that seem to be missing it.

Maybe it'll distract me for a bit

How is it that I place two orders one right after another and only one of my phones come in. To make matters worse, how is it that they have received DF orders everyday after that and mine wasn't in the mix!

Edit: Oh yeah, I failed to mention that the phone that came tues was the 2nd order I placed...so the 1st never came.
 
WTF my "Phone Quantity Back-Order" status has changed back and forth 4 times today from 0 to 1, back to 0 and now back to 1....does this mean anything...anything at all?

ps about to start updating and getting album art for my iTunes also...

Why they are not using a First In First Out kind of system for orders I do not understand. It's mind boggling that people walk into a store YESTERDAY and place an order that shipped today...and people from Friday are still waiting on theirs. Something is not right here. This system cannot possibly be working correctly.

Which phone came in? I'm guessing the WHITE one, or the 8GB black and the other that didn't come in was the 16GB black. Correct? Also, those who's order keeps flipping back and forth is probably the 8GB.
 
Well AT&T's status page is up to its old tricks. Attack of the nervous iPhone Df customers

My 16GB White iPhone is on route !!

Ordered my iPhone from the AT&T store....
Just went to https://www.wireless.att.com/order_status/order_status
for the 700th time, and my order said SHIPPED !!! Overnight Delivery to the AT&T store in Merrick, NY (Long Island).

I ordered it Saturday at 11 am (store opened at 10am-- was 8th in line)
Was gonna get 16GB Black... sales person told me... "it'll probably get here faster if you bought the White... Everyone is getting the Black."

Friday night (iPhone 3G day) I went to the Apple Store at the Roosevelt Field Mall (ugh, did I just type that?) and the line was 7 Hours long :mad:--- at 6pm !!!

Do I wish I could have had my iPhone in hand last week...yeah, sure... but ya know, I got along just fine without it for the week... my fingernails are shorter, and I have carpel tunnel syndrome now...but tomorrow, I'll be in iPhone heaven !!!:D
 
I've noticed the flips between back ordered and not in the mornings...maybe I should not be checking at 5am when I randomly wake up:(

At least they're supposedly getting some in.
