I ordered a white on Sunday too.. I was first in line at my store, but there are two stores here in the same zipcode and it appears that two people at the the other store beat me.. One of their's shipped today so I'm hopping maybe tomorrow or the day after perhaps.

. You made a simple but really useful tool for everyone who is waiting their phones including me.I hope you can separately throttling your main website and the tool, so you don't have problems with your main page.

I've stored the status (Shipped/Pending/Canceled). Since ATT server is only available via a webpage, I have to 'grab' each order individually. This process is very time consuming.
So caching every 15 mins, allows me to 'throttle' click happy iPhone watchers.
Also, sometimes ATT server does not respond fast enough and a 'cached' record would be displayed. This way, you 'Queue #' will not fluctuate.

Of course, as I made this tool more complex. It has become more useful. Therefore more users. With complexity, mysql is being stressed (I've tuned it a little so things should be a better).
Moved the Stats off the main page (stats are db 'expensive').

Heard the Apple store across town had a good quantity in stock.
Drove over, waited in line for 30 minutes, bought a 16gb black.
Drove to the AT&T store (using the GPS!) and canceled my direct fulfillment, which hadn't shipped even though I ordered at 9:45am on Friday.
But anyhow...I have my iPhone. Feels good.

So when I first got my phone it was charged to my card (pending), so when I checked my Bank of America online account it showed that it was a pending charge. Just yesterday I checked back on there and it had been taken off...and I check today and it's back on!

The holds on your account are only good for a few days. When the hold falls off, AT&T will then put another hold on it for the amount of purchase.
Not saying that it hasn't shipped, but that cold be the reason.
Damn, I knew it was too good to be true. Tomorrow will be 7 days from original purchase though, and I WANT IT IN MY HANDS!
Dude, I am right there with ya. I thin it is deplorable how AT&T and Apple have handled this.
It pisses me off to no end to continually read about people walking into Apple Stores and walking out with whatever model they choose.
Only 3 Apple stores in the state of Missouri. All of which are 2 or so hours away from me. And now sold out...
Pretty lame if you ask me.
The closest one t me is 3.5 hours away and I've been reading it has plenty of stock.
Picked my phone up at the AT&T store in Oakland today. Ordered it around 4:30 on Friday; got the call to come in around 3:30 today.
So far I'm very pleased with it, definitely a great device and a big upgrade over my treo. Nice to get reception up in the hills as well.

8gb black... no problem...

The order status page still has both phones as being backordered, as of a few minutes ago... yet one was received on tuesday? in other words, that order status page is useless...

I got tired of waiting. Local apple store had them in stock. They were giving out numbers to reserve a phone for the day. It worked to sucker me in for the day. I spent 4 hours in line but I finally got my iPhone.
I need to go by the AT&T store tomorrow to cancel my order.
Apple store folks were awesome, totally unlike AT&T. They gave out water, ice cream, and most importantly, kept us informed on stock. Thoughout, they were very helphul, pleasant courteous helpful and eager with a smile,never rushing.
I really commend the folks at the Durham nc store. Simply awesome way to treat the customers, totally unlike AT&T.
And, by the way, the phone is awesome, much better than I expected with really great reception unlike lots of threads around.
