Unbelievable, mine shipped. will be here by 3 pm tomorrow and I waited in line at the apple store and picked up a white one tonight. 5 hours off she goes to ebay

I ordered mine at local AT&T on 10 am, July 16.
From the thread and Greg tool, I learned I need to order 16GB white model to get fast shipment. Mine will arrive 10am tomorrow.
Based on Greg's tool, I have 64 people ahead of me in my local AT&T store, so if you want to get iphone ASAP, just order white 16GB.

Thats not right we ordered the same day....... I wonder if they got a large batch of white ones.
I walked into the Apple Store in Woodfield and was out in 30min with a 16GB in white. Cancelled my DF!
Hey so my dad just told me that he can't find our receipt.. does anyone know if this is going to be a huge problem (this is very typical of him).. Im sure its around but his piles are a pain to go through, so I'd rather not have to search if I don't have to.

Wow. Just wow. Ordered an 8 gb phone on Saturday and there are 50+ ahead of me on the wait list in that zip code and if the tracking software is correct, my store is receiving about 5 phones a day. It could be another two weeks before I receive my phone. I'm tempted to plop down an extra $100 an upgrade to the 16 gb white phone so I can get it.
To recap: I was told on last Friday over the phone that DF orders should take about a week. At the store Saturday, I was told Tuesday was possible. The back order email said 5 to 7 days. The ATT CSR said 7 to 10 days. My follow-up call to the store Wednesday (after being repeatedly bounced on and off back order) said phones will probably arrive Thursday. Order tracking still says back ordered.
This is just stupid bad customer service. There is no great crime in saying, DF could take up to two or three weeks please be patient and leave it at that. Unfortunately ATT doesn't have the stones to be that honest.
I ordered two white 16gb iPhones this morning at 9am. I am exchanging my black 16gb (waaaaaaayyyyy too smudgy) sad to say because the black was sexy but a grease smudged black phone is too much for me to take. So the guy let me order one so I can exchange mine got lucky as no other AT&T store would do it for me jerks. Anyway he said 5-7 business days so by next thursday!!! whoo hoo!!! I will have my invisible shield waiting for it ( i dont like cases doesnt fell like the whole experience of the phone to me.

Im feeling your pain. For some ridicules reason I only got one of my two 8gb iphones that I ordered the morning of the 11th. If it doesn't mail out over the night im going to call the store and let them hear it.

I was before you in line, remember?... guess I should have taken the white 16gb too instead of the black 8gb (but the money...)... just a question: If I buy an iphone somewhere from someone, do I just go to ATT and make the iphone contract? Don't they care where you get it from?
you mean buying a used iPhone? if you buy it you can just connect to iTunes and sign up I believe... no need to deal with the reps! I would think yours is coming soon though? also, I stopped into the store today and talked to them so maybe that helped somehow? I dont know?
I'm begining to get discouraged from all of this Unorganized, out of order, (un)Direct Fulfillment. I ordered my 8GB iPhone on Friday at 6:11 EST. And have yet to see any ray of hope. I can't go to an Apple store, because I want to do a number transfer, And they tell me only AT$T can acheive this extremly difficult feat. Every empoyee of AT$T has responded to me as if they were hired that day; Unable to give me any reason as to why orders for the same model...ordered from the same STORE ordered saturday have already shipped (on tuesday).
If I do not recieve my iPhone by moday, I will drive to the nearest apple store with the phone in stock buy it, sign up for a new contract, and cancel my contract on the spot for the $175 and go home and unlock it and keep my t-mobile service. Because my personal experiance with AT$T Before I am a customer has already been a crock of ____. I can only imagine what they'ed be like if they already had my monies.

i just wish that AT&T would come out publicly and state what is really going on. customer opinion of a company is usually helped when a company states the truth. I checked twice today and the phone's still on backorder though the order right before me was shipped already.
Got in from seeing the Dark Knight at about 3:20am this morning and my status said back-ordered still. Checked just now (4:00am) and it says that it shipped around 9:00pm last night.

ps. My CC was charged Monday and was shipped Tuesday and delivered Wed. Maybe they charge it sooner? Worth the wait. Hang in there. You'll have it eventually.
Black 16 ordered Friday July 11, Shipped yesterday at 4:30 PM. It showed back-ordered until I went to sleep at 1130 last night.
This morning at 230 AM I got an email from AT&T stating it has shipped and was provided a tracking number indicating it would arrive at my Cherry Hill AT&T by 3PM. Usually they get the phones early at around 930AM.
