The At&t page doesn't work anymore?? allllrriigghhtt.... who broke it?:p

it's working fine as of now. mine's on backorder. i'll check again tomorrow maybe things will have changed by then...or not.

freight still shows backorder but phone does not show backorder. interesting. as everyone has said above me, i kinda like the idea that i ordered a truck load for the cost of one phone :D
 
What I have is a receipt from the AT&T store's cash register that says DIRECT FULFILLMENT ORDER CONFIRMATION SUMMARY & has my name, mobile phone, the iPhone & amount & free shipping (because I did not know I could ask for expedited shipping). Below all that with the amount due, etc. is an Order ID in the format I posted a few minutes ago & the Ship To of the store. I don't have any 7 digit number. Is this the kind of receipt your order number is on?

Im In the same exact situation.... and It Bothers me ....
 
Mine also changed and is no longer back-ordered. I called into my AT&T store and of course they sold out of the ones they received today (last night), and told me they weren't planning on getting anymore for a few days. He said that I couldn't cancel my direct fulfillment, but nobody was getting an iPhone before those of us who had ordered them.

So I'm hoping that they will ship out on monday and be here shortly after.
 
Actually, if you did get a direct fulfillment order from an AT&T store try putting in the code below the bottom barcode as an order number and that should work.

Phone and Freight are back ordered for me but at least I can see whats up and not bug the AT&T people to death....
 
I did the direct fulfillment at around 9:30AM on Friday at my local AT&T store in Niagara Falls... Mine shows backordered for FRT and the 16 gb black iPhone... I hope it changes because my local Apple Store is only 20-30 minutes away... I just thought this would be much easier to do instead of waiting in lines.


Just wanted to throw out... before I read this thread about how to get the Order ID number working on the order status page... I called the 611 number and they couldn't find my order. They said it was because I made the order at the store, not online, which makes sense. So the customer service lady (which was completely awesome) said I will call your local AT&T stores and put you on conference call and we will find out where your order stands. A woman at the store answered, and the 611 customer service woman asked if she could check the order status of my order for me. The woman at the store snickered, and said "well my manager would have to look that up because I don't have access.. if he would of actually listened to us when he ordered it, he was told he would have it in 7 days." The conference call was ended and the 611 woman apologized and said if I couldn't get the tracking available to call back on monday and ask for her specifically.


the customer service (611) was awesome, but the AT&T store woman was a.....
 
Mine still shows back ordered but I ordered today.

Also didn't receive a email. Had to enter my Contact number and the store zip to have it show up. Full order ID and Phone number wouldn't pull anything up.

Seems the order # is the last 5 digits of the order ID as a FYI
 
mine just went from both backordered to just freight backordered, tonight. Does that mean mine is shipping out monday or something? what does it mean exactly?
 
I just checked my order and it changed from frt and phone on back-order to just the frt on back-order. I'm hoping this means it will ship on monday.:)
 
While I'm back ordered still I got a email stating 2-3 days.

i ordered at around 6pm friday... i've tried just about every number i can find on the receipt and both mine and the store's zip codes and i still can't get it to show anything... i haven't received any emails either... anybody else in a similar situation?

So is it safe to say that all of the AT&T employees who said they expected the iPhone to arrive over the weekend were incorrect?

Guys....if it is not working do as Diode suggested above (enter the last 5 digits of the order number and the store's zip code, not yours) and it SHOULD work. I was having the same issue and when I followed this it pulled right up!!
 
ah ok, got it... last 5 digits of the order id using order number/confirmation number as the verification method and the store's zip code worked... thanks
 
This stinks, I was sure I would get mine in monday. I placed my order at 11 am eastern time on friday so I thought I was one of those lucky early ones cause I didn't receive any e-mails about it being backordered on Saturday. Finally, sunday morning I get an e-mail saying it's backordered, but at least it says it'll ship in 2-3 days, better than the 5-7 days that everyone else is getting, plus my store said they were upgrading everyone to free priority shiping because they were out of stock, did anyone elses do that?

I'm in the same boat. I did every combination you could think of to make it work. I'm gonna call on monday and ask the rep to see what the status is.
 
question from a newbie(1st time iphone buyer). placed my 16g white thru the AT&T store yesterday afternoon and was able to get my order status online thanks to the wonderful forum here. my status shows as follows:

FRT:
status: in progess
qty ordered: 1
qty back-ordered: 1
carrier: none


PHONE:
status: in progress
qty ordered: 1
qty back-ordered: 0
carrier: none

does this look okay to you guys? the store told me it'll be 5-7 business days for the phone to arrive at their store and then they'll call me. but i haven't received any email from AT&T the day after I placed the order like everyone else did.
