I miss the days when rap and hip hop was about murder, drug abuse, unprotected sodomy, and keeping it real. Now it's all about monotonous club beats and stringing together lazy, unintelligible syllables.

Music sure ain't what she used to be. Sigh... I remember back in the day people used to play these things called musical instruments.

I don't think you guys realize that all music labels do this to some degree, they all uses there connections and deals to feed music on rotation radio day and night for there main artists and if they could to this degree they would. Apple simply has the advantage of making the phones, operating systems and pre-loaded music service along with having artist deals, They are simply at a advantage. You can't sit here and say apple is shady or is cheating and this and that because if these companies could of ran a similar play to what apple ran they would in a heart beat. Apple is simply the smarter and most capable and they played there cards the best so they are winning right now in all aspects. Drake was huge before the Apple deal, but he has definitely gotten bigger. Im not a drake fan really but i do listen to his music. Being in the industry myself Im sure it was a very fair deal for both sides, both sides got exactly what they wanted, Drake got the bigger reach being able to have a album exclusively on apple music with crazy apple promo along with his regular label promo, radio program and video promotion as well which all helped take him to the next level and apple was also able to kick off apple music and got a even more important cosign for todays world vs which is already huge "Dre". If it wasn't for Drake apple music wouldn't of had a lot of exclusives that they have so far. They basically killed Tidal in 1 YEAR. IN my opinion apple is doing a great job, could do better for us the people but they are in it for the money like any other business, I do hope when the new headquarters is finished that they hire more people/take more time out for there pro community and hardware in general.

I listened to the Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Guess Who, The Doors, America, etcetc and teens nowadays get this.
Can't help but feel bad for them.
On a good note, Drake seems like a nice guy

Doesn't matter ... if he's part of the Apple family ... it's unconditional love from the Cult of Apple.
Oh, so that's what you were implying about me.

1) I had a Windows PC for years before I went laptop-only.
2) I've liked Drake since before he was on board with Apple.

But anyway, here's a pic of Drake taking a selfie with an iPhone. (That should be enough to trigger half the people in this thread.)

Doesn't stop his music being crap.

And who are you that gets to dictate whether or not music is crap?

Doesn't matter ...if he's part of the Apple family ... it's automatic hatred from those who also hate Apple.

Fixed it for you.

I always love that argument.

Aside from The Beatles and The Rolling Stones, those other bands barely charted. They were up against insipid pop music like Englebert Humperdink, Paul Anka, Nancy Sinatra, Sonny & Cher, the Bay City Roller, and ABBA. (Nothing against ABBA, I like them.) Only after the people who listened to that insipid pop music grew up, forgot, and moved onto other insipid pop music like Barbara Streisand, Michael Bolton, Celine Dion, and Whitney Houston were the bands you love remembered as iconic of those eras.

The same will happen with today's music.

Cook and Cue are killing Apple. These two bozos will be ultimately responsible for Apple's decline.

I don't think I've heard any Drake song. I just know him as Wheelchair Jimmy and the NBA players' girlfriend.

I fired up the album to hear what I've been missing out on. I can't believe that crap is the most streamed album on the service. He can't sing without autotune, he can't rap particularly well, the beats sound like someone messing about in FruityLoops and the lyrics are nothing to write home about. I'm just floored that this is what passes for world class music these days.

I'm one of those people that didn't stream it. Apple has nothing available for streaming that I like and I imagine there are a lot of people like me whom Apple has failed to reach and market too.
