They literally have nothing to offer so they'll go all in on a gimmick to pretend they were the one to invent a 5 year old pill design 🤣🤣
Apple plans to expand the Dynamic Island to all four iPhone 15 models released next year, according to oft-accurate display industry analyst Ross Young. The feature is currently exclusive to the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max.

In a tweet, Young said he expects the Dynamic Island to be available on the standard iPhone 15 models next year. However, he still does not expect the standard iPhone 15 models to be equipped with an LTPO display, suggesting that the devices will continue to lack ProMotion support and an always-on display option like Pro models have.
Dynamic Island is a pill-shaped area surrounding the Face ID sensors and front camera on the iPhone 14 Pro models. The feature can display system alerts for things like incoming phone calls and the Face ID authentication prompt, and it will also work with Live Activities in third-party apps when iOS 16.1 is released later this year.
In the past, Young accurately revealed that iPhone 13 Pro models and the 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro would feature ProMotion, that the sixth-generation iPad mini would be equipped with an 8.3-inch display, that the latest MacBook Air would have a slightly larger 13.6-inch display, and much more, giving him a very successful track record.

Camera is exactly the same as a 12 pro maxIt stole the show in the keynote, but the camera is by far the hit feature imo.
Apple isn't making any such claim. They literally have nothing to offer so they'll go all in on a gimmick to pretend they were the one to invent a 5 year old pill design 🤣🤣
Back in May, Ross Young tweeted Apple's projected roadmap with respect to their displays. This should give you an ideaShouldn't the DI be gone in iPhone 15 or 16 pro models? Is Apple content on keeping the pill for the future? They should be exploring under-display technology. Yes, it's not there yet (based on Samsung models), but Samsung should be able to make it look much better sooner than later, and Apple should explore as well.
Well you know apple and the phone carriers wants u to upgrade your iPhone device every year . So go ahead and treat yourself get that purple IPhone 14pro max u deserve .I’m on an iPhone 13 Pro Max that I got back in June, but I also know that Apple changes colors and I like that purple they have now. No guarantee they’ll have it next year. What to do….
Also the new Qualcomm X70 modem they’ll put in the iPhone 15 will be more efficient and get even more better receptionAs I said, nope, all the iPhone 15 lineup will share the same Dynamic Island. It won’t be until the iPhone 16 Pro when the Face ID will be under display, and we’ll have a hole punch on the display, something that will extend to the rest of the lineup on the following year (iPhone 17)
It would be aluminum edge like base model. Not the whole phone. They can’t use aluminum because it would make the mag safe charging in usable. But we could only hope.
Indeed is a super cool feature. They could keep it when any form of the notch or pill finally die their deserved deaths.Sure it will. It just won't get the attention it got now and will be obsolete in quite a short time when front cameras disappear under the display. Still, a great idea - but maybe too little too late.
I love Dynamic Island so much, that if removing the front camera display removes the feature, I don’t want them to remove the pill even if there was no camera quality loss.Sure it will. It just won't get the attention it got now and will be obsolete in quite a short time when front cameras disappear under the display. Still, a great idea - but maybe too little too late.
Agreed. For the me the 14 Pro has enough features on the camera side to warranty the upgrade. However, the lack of SIM tray and my job requiring to travel, made the upgrade a no-go.Barring catastrophic behavior, I will see no need to upgrade for 4-5 years. The iPhone 11 that my 14 Pro Max replaced was still a great phone, but the Pro Max had enough new or updated features for me to pull the trigger.
Are you really trying to pretend that Apple said that? Seems like a the typical thing that haters promote based on their own assumptions. They literally have nothing to offer so they'll go all in on a gimmick to pretend they were the one to invent a 5 year old pill design 🤣🤣
Because they would have to sell the last years Pro models at a discount, and most people would upgrade to that vs the new Pro, and/or to last years Pro over this years non-Pro. It makes no sense but that’s Apple. At the end of the day, there is very little to separate a 13 Pro from a 14 Pro, however, the 13 Pro is still a better device than the 14 non-Pro. Better display, better cameras (and could argue better materials with stainless steel). They need to ditch the baseline model and just sell only “pro” iPhones. They’re practically the same price already anyway.
Or maybe go the old 5c route, and put (for example) the 14pro in an aluminum shell when the 15pro comes out.
The lineup is ridiculous…. I can only buy the 14 pro (and can’t buy the 13pro or 12 pro); but I can buy the 14, 13, AND the 12? (*From Apple)
Just sell the iPhone pro. And leave the aluminum phones for last years’ tech.
Look like the 13 mini should last me until after the cutout era.Back in May, Ross Young tweeted Apple's projected roadmap with respect to their displays. This should give you an idea
Exactly my thoughts. Dynamic Island will only get better as it shrinks in width and can offer more space for interactive widgets and information, to the point where the whole area is gone and we’re left with a huge area to have extra information displayed. Could probably be done in a more seamless way once it doesn’t need to be black, and they’ll probably give it a stupid new marketing name like Information Station or something equally ridiculous, despite it being really useful.dynamic island's brilliance isn't that it hides the cut outs, its that it actually provides something we actually needed on an iPhone, a form of multitasking where an app can run in a simplified way at the same time we are using a different application as the primary. THAT need will now ALWAYS be there once we have had it. I have to imagine some form of multitasking bar will always remain at the top of the screen even when cut outs are gone and the sole use of the entire screen will be when watching video.
It can't because it relies on OLED for true blacks.
Unless all iPhone screens stop being IPS LCD, this ain't going to happen.
