The top looks stupid too now And I don't see what the possible benefit would be for making the hole so long like I'm fine with it being bigger but that's like 2 times bigger than what is needed

My only issue really is the logo and the sim card opening and I know there going to be selling the one side piece that you screw on by itself so there will probably be one without a sim cutout and there going to allow custom laser engraving but if there is real signal deterioration or this gps problem is real then I don't think I'll get it
I think that we were all expecting it to look like the renders. They looked amazing!!! Reminded me of a F1 race car. Looking online I still can't find one I like the looks of more. It comes down to function for me now.I see I'm not the only one falling out of lust for the Vapor 4
If it hampers features I'm gonna kill my order. It hasn't been shipped yet. I think we all really wanted to like it but if it effs up the phone than there is no point. I just checked online as to when my free spec pixel case is coming. Oct 4

LOL. My Apple Bumper is expected to ship on 09/07. Hope it's sooner, can't wait.
My biggest complaint as a potential costumer is that the render shows no gap between the case and the phone but the final shipping product obviously has that ugly gap and just sits on the stainless steel band.
A lot of people I'm Canada bought the unlocked phone. If they travel a lot they will need access to the sim to change carriers to avoid roaming charges. This, I am sure, is why the cutout exists. I have been waiting a long time for this case. Element unfortunately jumped the gun on this one, and ought to have quietly tested the reception of thee product and released a finished case, with zero defects.
I should be getting my Vapor case next week, sadly I'll be sending it back. Element Case continues to be the worst company on earth, multiple lies about shipping initially, then when people finally start getting cases its apparent they put VERY little testing into it. Compatibility problems with headphone and chargers, 4 small foam pieces instead of their "very high tech" shock absorbing material, stupid sim card slot, the addition of an extra stupid logo (I guess all those e-mails they got regarding making a case without ANY logo didn't give them any hint that people don't like them?!?), reception / GPS problems arising, etc, etc!!!.
First let me say I was one of the people that doubted this case was even going to make it to market. I was wrong, I admit that. Now that it is here, it seems most are not too happy with the result for various reasons. First, the real product does not live up to the aesthetics of the renderings. Second, there has been a few design changes that cheapen the overall look. Third, there appears to be performance issues with signal strength and GPS. Forth, there are issues with using after market head phones and docks. All in all, this case has turned out to be a poozer and it may have been better if it had not came out at all. To those that still love the look in spite of all the shortcomings, I'm glad you feel you got you $80.00 bucks worth. Maybe when (if) they get to version 3 or 4, the kinks will be worked out and it will be worth a second look.
I'm pretty sure that's what Element told me as well, I just have a hard time believing that cutouts would have an effect on the signal.
Never thought of that, but very likely... Seems they are adding holes where ever possible to let the signals through
Thanks Larry. you give a good review. I've been watching your vids for awhile and didn't know who you were, Lol .Now that iv'e subscribed that shouldn't be an issue. I'm not going to cancel my order. I really like the looks of it too. Like I keep saying I don't like anything else out there. Please, please, please update us in a few days about reception, wifi, bluetooth and GPS usage. Those are things that we must know.

X2, I'm with White/Rhino on this one. Great reveiw Larry. I'm fine with the version 2 as well and hope I'll be receiving mine on Monday as scheduled.

Totally, If ver 4 is out by christmas I'll order that one if it's that much better. In the mean time I can Protect my Iphone 4 in style with this one until then. As long as it doesn't diminish any of the IPhones features. I've been looking at solid metal cases and bamboo cases online in the higher end and ( Uggggggggggggly) This one beats them hands down in looks as far as I'm concerned. I don't really want the carbon plates anymore. If i can get ahold of these guys I want to cancel those.
