Just a bumper basically, unless you ordered the optional carbon fiber add on which protects the back

I have been looking at this case/bumper for a little bit now, and I clicked the pre-order button on the website. I want one, for sure, and I will definitely get one, after they notify me that I can order it. I have also looked at the EXOVault, www.exovault.com It is unfortunate that they don't put up more pictures of their products on either website. But to me these are beautiful examples of machine artistry. I spent years working in machine and fab shops, I have a love for metal work. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and eye behold these as sexy. I hope I don't have to wait too long.

I just placed my order and paid via Paypal. I don't know how long it will take but I'm sure looking forward to getting it. Also requested "NO LOGO TO BE ETCHED", let's see if they comply.

While the case looks nice no doubt, I find it a tad bit funny that people are rabidly complaining about spending $30 on the Apple bumper, while this is generating a lot of buzz for three times the price.
Yeah, I find it funny how people will spend $30 on something like the Apple bumper that isn't worth 20 cents, where as this, you know it's worth it and it's better quality too lol.
Well, people complain about how it's made of rubber and plastic, the back is open, etc. They overlook the precise cut-outs and the metal buttons that help protect against depressing the real ones. It's a nice case, I own one. Sure, this one's made out of metal and of a nice quality, but both do the same thing. How is this anymore "worth it?"
Perceived value of this item is greater. Both are functional for their purpose of course, but when it comes down to it i'd rather stuck my 'baby' into high quality aircraft grade aluminum than plastic.

To protect Apple's "10x tougher than plastic" glass? Just sayin'- I think both protect it equally. It is an attractive case though, just not worth $90 to me. I'd rather spend my money on something else.
It's 1:30am EST and they are a west coast company. Generally business hours are like 8am local time. So, 10:30pm their time on July 11th which is still Sunday I would think anything is opened or shipped.
oooor someone got someone got some kind of shipping confirmation earlier today...
In my experience calling them, they open at about 10am EST and never answer the phones before 10:30am unless it's a tech passing by the phone that answers.
On a side note I placed an order late July 4 and then added the carbon fiber to my order morning July 6 and the order # had a difference of 470. Not bad for a pre order batch.
