Jesus Christ! Haven't we had enough of all this "no, YOU shut up" bull ***** already?

Economics class... Maths class... For the love of mankind, take this childish nonsense to PM. Every bloody time I get an update for this thread it turns out to be utter BS. Enough already.

Ya I agree, you should unsubscribe and make all of us happy

Now that they are "supposedly" shipping out, we should have some pictures and reviews in the coming days... Or else!

I've been following this thread out of curiosity and I still keep raising an eyebrow about this company.. sounds just a tiny bit fishy there's no official photos of it (apart from renders).

Anyway, hope you guys get them soon and I'm looking forward to seeing actual photos and opinions of this.

No, I'm saying I will believe it when I see it. I hope what you have stated is true and those that have paid for their cases get what they ordered. It should not have taken this long to get a real case in someones hands, even if it was someone to just post a review of the case before shipping to the general public. They are the ones that missed a posted ship date. Even a prototype reviewed by an outsider would have helped....

I totally understand where you are coming from. Even when he confirmed that they have already begun shipping them, i can't say i didn't have a tiny bit of skepticism somewhere in the back of my mind. But it sounded more promising than anything else. Alas, I came to this thread to give you the details of my conversation. I have told you the complete truth. I have no vested interest in lying. I am a regular at Everythingicafe under the same name with 500+ posts, and i make the same post there at their thread. Im just crossing my fingers, and hoping it will come.

Vapor 4 case

Honestly, we all need to chill out. The cases are on the way. If it was a mass produced piece of rubber or plastic we all would have it by now. It's a specialty item and as such takes time to produce. If this case wasn't unique none of us who ordered it would even want it. it's not coming from China, it's being made by a small specialty company who puts out high end gear in small numbers for
people who want quality. The fact that it's made out of machined metal & carbon fiber, not plastic makes it my only pick for a durable case. I'm willing to wait. I don't have a choice if i want it.
Anyone who is bitching and hasen't ordered the case or doesn't plan on ordering one is just pissed off because they waited so long or just can't justify to themselves the cost, and would still like to have the case. That's why they are spewing on this thread. They could have NO other reason to make any negative comments. I don't plan on buying a hovercraft so you won't find me posting on hovercraft sites. it's just that simple

email received...

I just got an email reply (it took about 6 days).

The basic response was that my case will be shipped in late July.
My order is in the 5100 series, so this should be of some comfort to you all.

sooo by your logic I should just believe you that it's not a real picture JUST because you say it's not? hm riiiiiiiight. Are some of you guys really THAT bored to keep coming back to this thread to keep arguing? If you think it is to expensive, or think it is a joke that people want this case based on renderings then great, super, awesome....don't let the door hit your ass on the way out...

don't worry, it didn't. it amazes me what gullible people will believe and ironically, won't believe.

Read the thread, it's not real carbon fiber

This is what i was hoping to hear -- I'm in the 44xx slug of orders!!!!!

BTW when I spoke to then a couple of weeks ago they confirmed it is an actual physical carbon back plate with a non- residue sticky substance made by 3M on one side of it. You can put the plate on or off only so many times before the stickum wears off, but you will not need to remove the case in order to mount the plate. So it becomes an optional thing.

People, this company makes the Joule stand for the iPad which has received rave reviews from real people as well as major news outlets like business week, etc. I want mine badly but I honestly think they are a legit outfit.

And those of you waiting to see a real one before you order because your not sure it's real -- you are going to feel so JEALOUS when these early orders start shipping!!!!!!

And if it never gets shipped? That's what credit card refunds are for. And if it arrives and isn't satisfactory? They have a thirty day returns policy.

Me: Oh awesome awesome. Have you guys began shipping out ANY cases yet?
Him: um, Yea! We have already began shipping them out.

So let me get this straight. These guys have begun shipping cases BUT they haven't gotten around to posting some real pictures of it on their website? Wouldn't that be priority number one?

Why would anyone be jealous? I really don't understand some people's fascination with getting things earlier than others.

Those of us who've yet to order a case will do so if it proves a good case. Why would we be jealous of anonymous people on an Internet message board? Seriously, please explain.

What does that prove? One link is the ugly iPad stand that you can buy from them and the other is just the same link that every Apple news site had on July 1, when Element Case released these renderings and information (which is what caused the massive preoders)...
It's a legit company that has produced and marketed products recently. Hopefully they will come through with the Vapor.

Sorry my bad. Sick with sinus infection. Jealous is not the right word.

But it reminds me when I kept hesitating over vaja cases for much the same reason -- only renderings on their site, etc. By the time I ordered one
it was months later, and more months after that I finally received it. And I said to myself why did I wait so long to order someone I knew i would in all likelihood enjoy?

In the case of vaja these are all allegedly custom orders so you can't return it no matter how much you dislike it. Here you can, no problem. So why be so suspicious? Why not order it? I mean, if those of us who did order it can have our sanity questioned, isn't the reverse ok too? Why read and argue on a thirty page thread about something you think may be a scam, that you haven't ordered yet, etc? Why waste your own time that way?

Sorry. Back to sneezing and sniveling again.

I hate being sick n the summer!

I'm sorry to hear you are sick - my iphone case twin :( My daughter is sick with the same sort of stuff. I even got her REAL Sudafed this time! I look forward to living vicariously through you when your pink and black Vapor arrives!

I have read through most of this thread but still have a question.

This case is a bumper-type. The iPhone 4 antenna is not internal to the casing but is on the outside edge of the phone. This case covers the outside edge of the phone. I am not a materials engineer but I do know that aluminum is not rf transparent.

There have been several previous examples of iPhone cases made of metal or having metallic coatings where there has been a deleterious effect on signal strength.

Can someone explain why this case may be different? It looks, from the renderings I have seen to be most attractive but in a conflict over form and function, the latter wins every time with me.

Peter - you're 100% correct, and I even question whether this will even come to market because of the RF issues.

I did put an elastic band around my iphone, and then surrounded it with tinfoil (approximately) the size of this case.

Granted, the IP4 (at least my IP4) has epic fail signal anyhow - but it flatlined after the foil.

It IS a pretty case and concept.... but I think that's all it'll ever be. (opinion folks)

We got too much alien interference with the aluminum foil attached to the iPhone.
