$100 plus bucks for a case seems like a lot to me but then again I was about to drop $80 on one of those Grovemade cases until I saw this. Sooo happy I never placed my order for one of those.
I also placed an order for the Red/Black with the carbon fiber back. I received an email verifying that they received my submission and that'll they'll contact me at a later date when ordering becomes available.
Anybody know how long it takes till they allow you to order?

Just a curious question...when ordering becomes available, is it first come first serve? Or will the ones who pre-ordered first get theirs shipped first? I'm thinking that they are just doing this pre-ordering thing to see how much interest there is in the product..

Did the same thing, and got the email that said theyd contact me later. I decided I couldn't wait and found out you can order at http://www.shopelementcase.com
They should have made both sides the same. From the picture it looks like only one side has the curves and screw and the other side is plain. I'm not liking the un-symmetrical-ness.
I like the non-symmetric design of it...plus it kinda gives it like a handle like grip when holding it in landscape or portrait configuration
I think for this amount of dough it should come with a screen protecter.
Seems steep to me but many here seem to have disposable incomes to acquire these things. Wish I could!

Interesting, mine was in the 4400 block, and I ordered a day after you, so I highly doubt they received over 1000 orders in just one day..

The Vapor case is B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L, and I am tempted too, but I do have one concern -
The only way I was able replicate the dreaded "death grip" problem was to place a small piece of steel (I used a razor blade) over the lower left antenna area of my iPhone 4. Five bars would become 2-3 in about 30 secs. Tonight I dug around in my garage looking for some scrap aluminum. On short notice all I could find was a bicycle seat post. I place it both directly on, and about 1mm off the left side antenna strip, and in both cases it went from 5 bars to 3.
I've gotta wonder how this type of case will affect reception.

They say it won't, plus it's lined with a rubber cushion that will be a barrier between the case and the iPhone.
I think you should mention one more time that there's a rubber cushion and it will be a barrier between the case and iPhone. Just in case someone missed the other 10 times it was mentioned.

Lol, people seem to skim over the most important details. Plus, there isn't any pics on Element's site with the rubber in the case yet.
hrrm i'm not sure, ive seen some order numbers on here that are between our two orders...1000 in one day isn't a HUGE amount seeing the amount of publicity they've been getting!
