Ummm it’s size 1, yep I have the tiniest wrists lol. It fits fine on the wrist but almost near impossible to get over the hand with no stretch - even with small wrists you need it to have some stretch to get over the hand. It has almost the same pull/give as the traditional sport band.
Yeah, might just be a byproduct of the smaller size.

On the other hand, excuse the pun, I would have thought they should all have the same stretch ability, after all it should all be the same silicone just cut to different sizes. Oh well, I guess I will stick to the sport band.

Lurking on this thread has been helpful for buying a new band. Many thanks for your band enthusiasm! As pink citrus doesn’t exist in the current sport loops, I am aiming for a close enough colour.

It seems like nectarine is the way to go. Is there any other good candidate? It looks like only hibiscus may come close too?
Hibiscus is definitely more of a red than orange. It has the smallest hint of pink (but in some odd lightings can be REALLY pink). Here is a quick snapshot of my pink citrus solo loop and hibiscus sport loop

I forget the relation, but in short, longer pieces of silicone hold more elasticity. It’s sort of the same reason you can stretch them vertical to the band, but they’re harder to stretch horizontally.

Could be wrong, I’m no expert.

I’ve fully converted to The @the future Method. Just press the watch on your thigh so you’re off-hand is free to pull the lug up to the watch and slide it in.

to remove: Flip it inside out and press the release button with your index finger and slide the band out with your thumb. This one takes a little more practice.

For sure Hibiscus is the go-to, as Oli says. Hall of fame band, the only one checks’n’flecks I bought retail.

Also consider Neon Pink and Hot Pink, though these show up on eBay even less than Hibs.

Yes I did try that but even that was really difficult, the silicone is just really stiff, like trying to get a sport band flipped over without undoing, just no give whatsoever - I got it on by your method of getting it done up while on the wrist. No matter, I guess I will go and try some ones in the store once lockdown is over.

That is amazing help, thanks both! It’s interesting from the photos shared that it really does seem
like the pink citrus pulls in orange comparatively.

It almost looks like hibiscus matches more to the plastic in the lugs than the band itself.

This just makes it so much clearer that the answer is actually why decide on just one band :D

Hi! How large is your wrist? Mine is 14 cm and I don't know if I should get a size 1 or 2.
Could you post a picture of how it fits you, maybe?
TIA

We definitely need a physics teacher in here. But it does seem to make sense that the lower your L measurement, the less springy it will be, like the strings near the grip of a tennis racket.

My wrist is also 14cm, I have unfortunately already packed it up ready to return. The size 1 was a decent fit but just impossible to get on and off due to hardly any give. There is a great YouTube video by TheJuan&Only regarding the sizing issues for the solo loops and according to his measurements the size 1 is 12cm long and the size 2 is 12.5cm long so hardly any difference between the two but maybe better than the size 1. If you can’t compare the two together I think I would be tempted to get the size 2.

Calls for a looping gif, from the watchtower studio.

thank you! Are you simply returning it or you'll get a size 2 instead?

I’m not sure, I really would like to see the size 2 in person but we are in lockdown until 2nd December so I’m a bit undecided as to whether to wait until then or just post the return back.

A few days ago I came across a Hibiscus 44mm on the Swiss online Apple Store and put it in my cart... now it's no longer in my cart. 🤔😁 thank you for the advice! 🤗

Doesn't look too impossible. Half inch plywood or MDF with a pattern on it that you want to create. Use this strapping to make the band holders, which you can easily place a few screws into scrap wood to make a bending jig to make them all uniform.

I think the most irritating part would be to cut the slits for each band uniformly. Tbh if I were to do this, I'd draw up my plans in photoshop with the band slits, and send it to a CNC shop in town. Plenty of places will laser cut wood if you send them the file. Then once I had that, make the band holders out of the strapping, put it all together and done.
Thanks - but what sounds easy for you isn’t so much for someone with limited artistic skills 😞
