Ain’t that the truth.

”I’m black... okay maybe I’m midnight blue. But then, very occaisionally, LOOK WHO’S PURPLE, Y’ALL!!!!! .... Nope. Back to black.”
Team Aubergine! To whoever said they didn’t like stainless lugs on ceramic, I don’t not mind what-so-ever! Looks great!

I really wish I had picked this one up along with Grapefruit when they were on deep discount at BestBuy...I yoinked Grapefruit for $19 and I think Spearmint was $29. I'm a dummy for passing it by.
To be fair I only purachaised it since I found it for just 19€ in a local store, but it turned out to be one of my favourite bands (I don't have many of them thou). The fact that I got it for a really good price only increases the pleasure.
Next time you see it don't miss it. It's still largely available, luckily.

Today’s delivery: original sealed Spring Yellow Classic Buckle and the Nike Black/Hyper Jade prototype sportband.
The Spring Yellow Classic Buckle was so well priced, I couldn’t resist buying a spare one too.
Spring Yellow was my first ever CB but I sold it, which I regret. If you have a link or want to let go of that extra, let me know!

That’s when I got mine too. I wish Best Buy would have another sale!

Speakinf of Dark Aubergine Classic Buckle, I found one for a great price but since it's labeled as "42 mm" I've found myself very ignorant: isn't the Classic Buckle line-up exclusive for 38-40 mm? Or it is just the Modern Buckle?

I'm thinking about gifting it to my dad, which has a 44 mm silver SS. it looks beautiful in your shots!

Classic Buckles are both sizes.
Modern buckles are 38/40.
Leather loops are 42/44.

This old chestnut from September has crashed and burnt...

Safe to say, I don't own eight watches...

There is one missing, or four missing depending on your viewpoint.

First person to identify the missing one (or four) wins no prize...
My pre-coffee thinking didn't come up with any until I saw the answer, then... duh!

Anyway; reason to reply is to ask if the Dark Gray from SBTi is lighter than the Gray ceramic one? Also I guess is Natural Ti Gray name darker than Concrete?

I really want a good middle gray and everything I have it too dark or too light. I missed out on Coastal in my size, but it has too much of a brown undertone really in any case. The Ti bands are still either side of what I want, but I haven't made the effort to get them yet and might apply myself more if they are at least different.

That was me, and I agree based on those pics.

I generally dislike mismatched lugs, but the only ceramic on silver I have seen that I recall was a Youtube video I watched while impatiently waiting for my ceramic to arrive. The guy had chosen a Link Bracelet in silver as his other band, and on the ceramic it was - something I can never unsee.

I think the contrast of the leather and the white draws the eye away from the silver lug in your pics.

Interesting ... in Europe you certainly can‘t.

Exactly.

Yeah, same goes for watch bands. Finding the prices I read in here it's nerly impossible sometimes, or you have to work 10 times as hard.
Tax system, I guess. Or stellar shipping prices, regarding Ebay.

Very useful comparison! I'm still brooding about getting a DN - can't make up my mind whether solo or sport band. To date I have two solos - pink citrus and (yes) Plum. I like the solo but I find it too soft for the weight of a SS watch. IMHO it fits aluminum watches much better. Sport bands OTOH feel heavier, and more stable for the SS.
But maybe it's me needing to get used to the solo's lightweight.
For sure working out in solo+steel you feel the weight but I end up forgetting about it after awhile, I’m now realizing. The slight air gap that makes the solo so comfortable does then allow for a little sliding.

Exactly.

Made an appointment for pick up tomorrow.
I’ve seen them being sold for less in the US, but after adding (a) the imho exaggerated shipping costs you pay for shipping from the US to Europe and (b) import taxes and regarding the basic fact that I can now see in advance with my own eyes what I’m actually buying makes it worth the while for me.

Nice! I hope everything works out for you. I had a Titanium S5, it‘s very, very nice.

The second instalment of the series titled "All but one of the Sport Bands Apple made. Ever" :D

Seriously though, those shots are good, but doesn't it just grind your gears not have one more band to complete the set?

Also worth noting I couldn't recreate that shot even though I have Stone 1. I say I'm complete, but I should probably say "retail complete" as I don't (yet) have any Edition bands for Watches I don't have. I say "yet" as I really don't see ever buying SBTi, and even natural Ti is only a possibility. I'd like to finish out my ceramics collection though, rather than buy Cloud.

Was there a difference between the S3 white and S5 Edition bands beyond 38/42 versus 40/44 sizing?

More constructively, am I right in seeing a slight difference between Gary / Black from the S3 gray ceramic Edition and Gray? Also Dark Gray is the SBTi Edition band? It looks darker rather than lighter, which is the opposite way to what @MostlyARMless shot looked like.
And Light Gray is lighter than Concrete... C'mon Apple, can we have a mid gray as well as a proper purple sometime soon?
