iPod touch FOR CANADIANS: Online order status / Store stock

My estimated delivery still shows by September 26, 12:00 PM, but my earlier confirmation mail did say an estimated delivery by today, the 25th. It didn't took a while, but FedEx arrived with mine 11:30 AM!

Awesome, I thought it will not be delivered until tomorrow. Just finished syncing and playing around with it. Dang, I almost cancelled my order for this. Now I don't regret it one bit.

No dead pixels and the screen is fine. I thank Apple too:)!

To the rest who pre-ordered: yours will probably arrive soon too!
 
What does the style of the box have to do with anything? Whether it is Macy Grey or other.. what does that determine about ones iPod?
 
I was worried because I got a Week 37 Touch but my iPod is great!

I uploaded the Jay-Z Black Album picture and my Touch did not show any negative blacks. Then I visited this site: http://www.lagom.nl/lcd-test/small/ with Safari and the different images looked exactly like on my laptop. I'm so happy that I do not have to return my Touch.

Some good info: My Touch has a 1A37... Serial No. with Macy Gary on the box. From my own experience and what I've seen on boards, like this one, these Week 37s are the good ones. So if you bought or ordered one of these don't fret they are excellent with no problems.
 
prpared for shipment

My Ipod touch 8 gb has been prepared for shipment since yesterday morning. Is anyone else experiencing the same thing, should I be worried, when should I expect it?:confused:

Im in Vancouver, BC and I've been waiting since yesterday morning as well(when it finally changed to "Prepared for Shipment"). I ordered Sept.7th. I'm past the "I'm furious at Apple" stage now, I just want it so badly...
 
Typhoon

I was just reading that some guy called apple and they said the shipment was screwed up because of a typhoon in China.

Same problem. It's been "Prepared for Shipment" since Monday morning and I'm growing impatient with every status check.
 
Sept 28

I am beginning to think all of the ones that have not already sipped will ship on September 28 and arrive when they are supposed to.

Mine was shipped on Friday (or Saturday morning) which was after the typhoon in China. I highly doubt that would still have any effect on shipments (if it ever did) coming out of China. I have no idea how they're processing orders as mine despite being ordered on the 5th shipped after some placed on the 6th. Someone said since they're being filled directly from the warehouse the process isn't as smooth had they been coming from Apple.

When should mine ship I ordered on the 7 of September and it has said prepared for shipping since yesterday morning? I just want it already.
 
I think I have the worst scenario. I ordered mine on September 5th, the day of the announcement, and the status says it is waiting to be shipped! :confused:

That really sucks dude. I ordered mine on Sept 6th and got mine today. You should really call Apple and figure out what the delay is.

So far, everything seems good. Sounds nice (Loud! couldn't believe how loud it is), screen looks good, don't think I have any negative black issues. Safari seems kind of slow, but usable. Still wish I could edit calendar entries and add notes :mad:

I just called them he basically said that when ever it is shipped it will tell me he did not say when it would be shipped or anything.
 
Maybe the Typhoon in China offset some of our deliveries? Oh well, maybe if it isn't shipped by the 28th, Apple will offer us a credit or something. Or maybe we'll end up getting 39th week Touches. :eek:
 
Since i wasn't around when the FedEx guy came w/ my ipod, we had to goto the Depot where they keep the packages. So we drive there which takes 40 min. Then we find out that my dad has to be there! (Apple policy) even though I have the same address and last name...So unfortunately i don't think ill be getting mine today:(
 
Just got a beautiful 38 from apple store yorkdale could have waited 5 weeks to save 80 dollars but this was definitely the way to go
 
Mine went into the "Prepared for Shipment" state on Saturday night and has not budged since. (For those looking for trends - I ordered it on Sept 8 - Order# W309xxxx)

I am kind of stuck in a "no man's land". I would have canceled the order by now if it was still in the "Not yet shipped" state and purchased one locally (Ottawa). But, I can't cancel it anymore. I think Apple should only process the order (i.e. put it in the "Prepared for Shipment" state) when it is ready to ship it. Not 3,4,5? days ahead of time.

I'm glad some of you finally got your units today. I guess Apple decided to send one batch out, and wait several days before sending the next batch to Canada.
